Your iphone I think only have a lightning connector. So first you have to get a Lightnkng to USB-C converter and may need to format the drive to take apple file format. Mistakenly, I bought a 64GB version and found that I couldn't format it in the required file type, and the drive wasn't recognised by my phone. Totally my fault, I should have paid attention. This 32GB one works fine so far, using the SanDisk Memory Zone software. The alloy body of the drive seems sturdy, and in my view is worth the extra cost over the plastic one. As many others have mentioned, it does get quite warm, as I guess the metal housing is also used as a heat sink for the memory chip.
