Final piece to the puzzle
As a homeowner, hobbyist, renovator and builder I have accumulated a lot of tools that are right for the job. In spite of all of those tools there are still some tools that have not been economically feasible to purchase because of the relatively few amount of jobs that they will be used on. The Dualsaw has filled that gap quite nicely. I can now cut the aluminum plate that was difficult before as well as steel trim, downspouts, sink openings in counter-tops, and so many other things without ever having to fetch another tool or change the setup on a tool. I wouldn't say that the Dualsaw is always a replacement for your larger tools, but it is definitely an enhancement to the capabilities of a circular saw, a jig saw, a chop saw, an angle grinder and numerous hand tools. Today I cut a solid aluminum bar that was 3/4" thick and 3" wide into several pieces. The saw cut it with ease and left the cut surface smooth, shiny and burr-less. I have tried all of the advertised capabilities of the Dualsaw and have found them to be completely accurate. My next purchase will be the 6 1/8" Upgrade kit. It can only make a good thing better.

great little saw
bought this saw for my son as a birthday present last jan. haven't been able to borrow it yet seems like he's always needed it for a project around his trailer park he saya it's great for the little jobs without having to drag out the big heavy saw he likes it for the light weightness and the power for a little saw.

The first 5 feet went great. The next 20 went OK
Had to remove a patio cover for a townhouse. Was very excited to use this tool for the first time. Had about 250 linear feet of roof shingle and 1/2" plywood to cut. The first 5 feet went great. The next 20 went OK. the last 10, the motor sparked, smoked, and died. I purchased a Ridgid wormdrive circular saw to finish the job and had no issues for the next 210 feet. Might be great for a homeowner that needs to make a single cut or two, but you wont actually ever be able to complete a project with it.

Gears grinding after fist use. Still works but sounds like hell.
I wish I would have used this as soon as I got it, but I waited for spring and then it was too late. I was cutting tin and it kicked back and ever since the gears sound terrible.

DUALSAW TWIN BLADE COUNTER ROTATING CS450
I have seen this saw advertised and in the store many times and was curious as to it's usefulness. Several days ago while browsing the isles of COSTCO, I came across the saw. It was only $59,95 after an instant rebate. At an attractive price like that, I decided to go for it. I had a wood palate that needed to be cut up an put in the trash. I unpacked the saw and plugged it in. My first impression was that is was fairly heavy and solid like a real saw. The first few cut I used it like a skill saw, and the lower guard tended to hang-up on the edge of the board, 3/4" X 4" pine, and was difficult to start the cut. Next I pulled the guard back to start the cut, which went much smoother. I tried several plunge cuts by pulling back the guard which worked well. Right angle cuts didn't come out square. Since the saw does not have a base shoe or any way to adjust depth, you will bottom out on the saw case and it is a free hand operation. Any tilting or twisting will cause the saw to bind. Last night I decided to read the owners manual, maybe I was doing something wrong! Seventeen of the 23 pages have warnings. Operation is limited to 4 pages which contain more warnings. What do they mean by this,"Always feed material parallel to the blade". I think they mean perpendicular or right angle? "Always hold the saw firmly with both hands.." but "retract the guard manually to make pocket or compound cuts???? Bottom line, in my opinion, I think the saw has limited or special use. The lack of a foot plate, depth control and guard hang-up, limits it's use. Will I keep or return it??? I'll check out their web site for a demo video and cut up somemore palates before I decide. Dec23,2012. For $59 I decided to keep the saw. I cut some 12' corrugated sheet metal roof panels, length-wise, and it worked good. Cuts fast, but really makes a lot of noise. I still think a foot plate would be a big improvement.

A WELCOME ADDITION
I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED THIS SAW AND FINALLY PURCHASED IT. I AM NOT DISSAPOINTED. HOWEVER, YOU MUST PURCHASE THE "RULER GUIDE" ATTACHMENT. WITHOUT THIS ATTACHMENT, THE SAW IS NOT VERY EASY TO ALIGN AND USE WITH FLAT MATERIAL. BUT I AM VERY HAPPY WITH IT. THE COMPANY THAT SELLS THIS PRODUCT IS REALLY BIG ON CUSTOMER SERVICE. THEY STAND BEHIND THEIR PRODUCT AND PROVIDE A COURTEOUS AND EFFECT CUSTOMER SERVICE EVEN IF YOU BOUGH TTHE PRODUCT FROM A SECOND HAND DISTRIBUTOR.

Dual saw
This saw has to be one of the greatest inventions ever made. The dual saw cuts through almost anything and the cuts are clean and smooth.
