TARGUS AMU59US Kaleidoscope Optical Mouse

Cute little mouse with retractable cord, changes colors from red to green. Works great with my laptop. Small but accurate.

This mouse is nice to look at, fits wonderfully in my hand and the fact that the cord retracts to the length you want is great as well. The only problem I have is that it quit working for me after a year. I can't seem to get a response from the manufacturer and it really bothers me. This mouse should have lasted me quite a while instead of only a year. I didn't yank on it or throw it around, it has pretty much stayed in the same place that I put it when I first got it.

I barely used this after i got it.. but when i used it, i plugged in to the computer and the computer cant pick up the mouse... it will give me an error message.. sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't.. then few months later, the retractable is defective..it won't retract anymore. Which is fine, but my laptop can't pick up the usb so I can't use it at all..

I would love this mouse because of the fun colors except it died on me within just a couple months of usage. It's definitely an issue with the retractable cord, it will occasionally work if I jiggle the wires just right but obviously with a mouse the cord moves constantly and it doesn't work far more often than it does. I am sad to give this one up, but cannot recommend it because of the quality issue. With a standard cord instead of retractable, I'm guessing this would be a much more solid mouse.

Like others, my mouse cable finally broke inside the cable but only after I accidentally caught it on something and really yanked it hard. I had been using this mouse for several years prior to that. Pros - nice look (I like the kaleidescope colors) fits nicely in my hand (of course that will vary from person to person) reliable tracks well smooth movement (due to slick glides on the underside of mouse) Cons - No way to turn lights off without unplugging mouse or turning computer off I'm buying a new one to replace the one I just broke.

This product is interesting and fun because you can change the colors of the mouse. Unfortunately, mine started dying after only 8 weeks of use. If you want to waste your money on something with pretty colors buy this product. If you want a mouse that will last buy anything else.
