The ingredients list shows that the 3 main ingredients are tomatoes, tomato juice, and sugar. Less than 2% of all other ingredients. The flavor of green peppers, celery and onion is barely perceptible, partly because there is almost none of those vegetables in the can, and partly because there is so much sugar that it over-powers the other flavors. In fact, there is more salt and citric acid than celery or green pepper (see list of ingredients on the label).Note that if you use these in a cooked meal, the sweetness is not quite so over-powering, because the bitterness of all the tomato seeds comes out during cooking, and tends to offset the sweetness. Maybe that's why they add so much sugar into this product.On the plus side, none of the cans in my order were dented. Can't say the same about many other canned products I have ordered. ### ⭐ Dented cans are unusable *by T***E on Reviewed in the United States on June 22, 2020* This is a product we enjoy in chili, etc and thought it would be great to purchase in quantity, but very disappointed that 10 of the 12 cans were dented beyond safe to use. They were packaged as a case lot with shrink wrap, so quite surprised when took plastic off and saw all the damage. Some major dents in sides of cans and some at top or bottoms at seams. Not safe and threw them out. Waste of food, time and money. Please make sure to package well so we don't have to throw out food! ### ⭐⭐ Bad Order-last time I try an order of Food! *by D***G on Reviewed in the United States on March 1, 2021* Not only were 5 of the 12 cans so dented that I wouldn't use them (they had to have packed that way because they were scattered around and then the pkg. was sealed) but I purchased these the end of February 2021 and the exp. is 6/13/2021.
