A less important issue for me is that I am unable to insert two AAA batteries into the remote control. I would have to break off part of the remote to get the batteries into their compartment. Since I don't use the remote control, I could live with this if the device worked reliably but suspect many people would consider this unacceptable. I sent a request to TESmart asking for suggestions about fixing the lost connection problem and have not had a reply.
