60-80% light blockage, depends on angle. Feels like plastic. Doesn't heat up.
See the photo for a side by side comparison with a blackout curtain. Doesn't block sun fully. When sun is shining at a straight angle - morning or evening sun, approx 60% blockage. When it's past 10.30am on a summer day, approx 80% blockage. Plastic gets slightly warm, but doesn't radiate the heat and make the room warmer. A lot of other curtains in this price range heats up and make your room feel like a furnace. The blackout curtain shown in the photo feels like it's being constantly ironed. For me the biggest issue is the amount of light coming through. Aesthetic wise it depends on the person. I would say more suited to a commercial space like restaurants, than living room. I would never put this in my bedroom. Could be good for kitchen or utility area. This wont get stained or damaged from water, it's plastic. The brown buttons at the top and hang down eyelets are nice features.
