Wonderful Cold Brew Carafe!
I am so happy I found this cold brew carafe! My coffee odyssey has been a dramatic one, truly. I started drinking Starbucks Cold Brew last summer and thought I'd be ready to switch back to hot coffee once it got cold outside but I've been drinking cold coffee throughout the winter. I have a hard water problem which has made it difficult to make a good hot cup of coffee at home. I filter water but I like to keep that for my water drinking, so I got hooked on the cold brew. But it's expensive. Meaning paying $6 or $7 for 40 oz of coffee stopped being cost efficient. Can I make my own cold brew at home? I found this pitcher when I started to do research and gave it a go. Oh my God! I love it! I can make a $10 bag of coffee go way further than I ever can from the cold brew I get from the store. This pitcher is easy to use and gives me just what I need for the weekend. See, I drink hot coffee in the office; I only drink cold coffee when I'm working from home one or two days a week and on Saturday and Sunday. This pitcher gives me just enough. I followed the instructions in the booklet that comes with the maker, get it ready late Friday afternoon and by Saturday morning, I have some really good cold brew coffee! The $10 bag of coffee I buy nets me 3 pitchers of coffee which is so cost effective! And the coffee tastes amazing! For my first carafe of cold coffee, I got the Vanilla/Lavender Starbucks coffee. Flavored coffee is always tricky because you have to go light when you make it to make the most of the flavor, but I followed the instructions - 16 tablespoons of coffee and it still came out pretty good! I'm excited to try different coffees but it's been really nice to get more coffee for the money I'm spending this way, rather than spending upwards of $7.00 for the cold brew in the store! This is definitely a good pitcher/carafe to start with. I've been very happy and have been looking forward to my weekend coffee fix!

The best I’ve used(so far)!
I have gone through several cold brewers from the cheap to the fancy Japanese imported ones. The Primula Burke Deluxe checks off a lot of boxes the others ones don’t. The biggest issue I’ve had with others brewers were the size vs how to hold them. The large heavy glass ones have a small screw-on handle that ergonomically can be a nightmare to hold if you have weak wrists. This one has a nice, easy to hold handle that distributes the weight evenly. You won’t drop it! The plastic sheath around it is non-slip so it won’t slide off your counter. If you’re a huge klutz like me, this is important. All of the pieces snap in beautifully. The filter can be fully disassembled to be cleaned. I’ve had no coffee grounds in my coffee as the filter locks in so you can pour water in and there’s no mess! Overall, this brewer is ergonomic and easy to use. It’s far superior to others I’ve used and you can’t beat the price!

Makes WONDERFUL cold brew coffee
I don’t get the negative reviews - I LOVE this for making cold brew coffee. My tips: 1. If it is taking you FOREVER to get the water to initially seep through the coffee into the pot, then you are most likely using coffee grounds that are TOO FINE for cold brew! You want to use a COURSE GROUND coffee! I really like the Bizzy Cold Brew Smooth and Sweet coffee. Don’t be misled by its name - it has NO sweetener added to it - the name just refers to the coffee’s flavor profile… 2. Even though this pot says that its parts are dishwasher-safe - HAND WASH everything. All parts wash quickly with warm water and a little dawn dish soap! 3. To make the coffee, I put the grounds into the filter area in the pot, add room temperature water, put the lid on and let it sit on the counter for about 5-6 hours. I take a table knife from my silverware drawer and stir the grounds around (within their filter area) a couple times during this initial 5-6 hour soak. Then, put the pot into the frig and let it soak there overnight. After about 8-9 hours in the frig I take it out, stir the grounds around again with the table knife (within the filter area), let it sit for a few minutes and then lift up the filter. Hold the filter over the coffee, tilting it a little to let as much liquid as possible drip out from the filter into the coffee. I think I tilt the filter and balance it against the pot over the coffee to let it drip that way for about 5 minutes…. Then take the filter all the way out. I dump the grounds onto a plastic tray and let them dry out - then give them to a gardener!. 4. As soon as you have dumped the grounds out of the filter, unscrew the bottom cap and rinse out the filter! Then rub a couple drops (you don’t need much) of dawn blue dish liquid between your thumb and index finger and then use those fingers to rub the soap all around on the filter - inside and out. This takes only a minute or two and gets it totally clean! Rinse well and let it dry…. It gets totally clean this way with no staining!. 5. I immediately transfer the coffee out of this pot into a borosilicate glass pitcher for storing in the frig. Then, HAND WASH this blue pot, with just a couple drops of dawn dish detergent. It only takes another minute to wash, rinse and invert to dry. Easy, totally clean and ready for the next use when the coffee starts to run low.

Best iced brew coffee maker
I love this product. It is very durable and holds a lot of coffee. It is easy to clean, easy to use and the size is prefect to fit in the fridge. The seal on the lid is strong so it doesn’t spill out and make a mess when you pour directly into your coffee cup. The brew speed is great too, I prepare the coffee the night before and it’s ready in the morning.

5 star!!
I received this product within time allotted in ad. No problem with the charge. It was packed very well and my cold brew pot was received intact and undamaged. This cold pot holds six cups of water as listed . I usually put two tablespoons of coffee in per cup of water and the coffee ground container holds that well. I thought the taste of the coffee was pretty good between 12 and 24 hours of brew time. The pot is so easy to clean I have it done in about 3 minutes. I love love my cold brew pot. It makes my day fast easy and mess free. Thank you so much. This product is very good quality very good value five star thank you

Good for Cold Brew
Good quality filter and pitcher. The lid fits down nicely. Easy to use as a small guide pamphlet was included with some recipes, too. It isn't insulated, but you're making cold brew. It seems to be one solid pitcher unit, sorta surrounded by a holder and the bottom (turned upside down and THEN look at the bottom) has a seal ring on the outside. It does come off for cleaning but that also means it just comes off in the dishwasher sometimes. I wouldn't go as far as to say that this has travel ability as it seems to be more at home use, or that's what I would do. You do you.

works great!
This is easy to clean and perfect to work with! Its the perfect "set it and leave it" to use when you want some coldbrew. It's the perfect size to fit in the fridge door and easy to take apart to clean.

Pros, Cons, and things you might not have considered.
This cold brew coffee make will come in handy, however there are PROS and CONS. First the PROS: It's inexpensive (under $20), it looks good, it’s built well for the price, it’s quick to fill, and best of all it does not need electricity to brew coffee. Now the CONS: It does not filter the coffee well which allows quite a bit of coffee grounds to make it into the pot which ends up in your coffee cup. Poorly filtered coffee grounds has been scientifically proven to cause health risks because this builds up on your internal organs and never get digested. The cleanup is a pain. You can't just grab a filter and drop it in the trash like you do with a conventional coffee maker. You have to run it underwater, therefore causing the grounds to go down your drain. Just like grounds buildup on your internal organs, they build up in your sewer pipes. I recently took a part my kitchen sink trap and cleaned the pipes with a bottle cleaning brush because there was buildup from the previous residence. Imagine that build up within your internal organs. Lastly, it wastes coffee because using cold water does not get all of the coffee out of the grounds, therefore you must use more coffee grounds to make the same amount of coffee. If you were to fill it with hot water to brew the coffee, you would get better results. But it is not designed to stand up to hot water, which could likely melt the thin plastic filter. And if I were to run hot water through it, I might as well use my electric coffee maker which does a far better job at brewing coffee and uses a very fine mesh biodegradable filter which filters the coffee grounds better, therefore making it healthier. Conclusion: My 30-year-old Mr. Coffee, coffee maker makes a more consistent cup of coffee with easier cleanup and does not waste coffee. And all I have to do is simply chill the coffee afterwards. My electric coffee maker is also healthier. So, although I like this little cold brew coffee maker, and I will use it if I go camping or lose power, it's going to sit on the shelf for now. I hope this product review was helpful?
