Required to AC Power AtomOS Devices
I tried to use generic NP dummy batteries to AC power my Ninja V drives, but was disappointed. The official AtomOS dummy battery is the only way to go for reliability and quality. Note: you must have an AtomOS AC power supply to use this dummy battery, but this is the same power supply that was likely supplied with your AtomOS device if your kit included an NP battery charger. It features a power plug that screws onto the battery charger or dummy battery, making a perfectly reliable connection. This is a far cry better than the generic NP dummy batteries carried on Amazon, which use friction plugs on both the dummy battery and the USB Type A power source. Also, the generic dummy batteries are unreliable because you must choose a USB power supply separately, and the low powered models will not supply enough power for the Ninja V.

well made, expensive accessory that should be included with Atomos products
This is a well made power adapter that has a secure fit. The threaded barrel connector ads security and confidence. I presume this can work with other NP-F battery powered products other than just the Atomos products, provided you use the correct power supply. Even though it is a bit expensive, I would give this 5 stars except that it should be a part provided with all Atomos NP-F powered products. Regardless of that, I do recommend this part.
