How durable are these?

I have only had mine since Jan 20th 2015, so I don't have long-term results, but so far it is holding up pretty well. I ride with it a few days a week and don't get much rain as of late. The one issue so far is with the plastic coating on the metal brackets that loop over the frame/mount. This coating is gradually rubbing off due to friction with the metal rack I have.

How much weight can this hold? Is there any way to attach it permanently to the bike?

I am not sure. Not to my e-bike. I like the fact I can take it off so easy and take in to the store or gym.

Can you give the measurement to the mounting clips? To the inside of the clips and the outside of the clips? Also, one or two per order?
