This was a used product from Amazon and very pleased as it is like new.

Just recently purchased the Canon Pro-10S printer so I can print my own A4/A3 photos for competitions, this guillotine is very sturdy, heavy and the blade is sharp, this was purchased from the resale and am very happy with it

Does the job as expected.

This is a disaster, I will never buy any Dahle equipment. Maybe in the past they produced good stuff, but not anymore. Unfortunately, I was sure it is OK, and I used smaller photo paper than planned initially, so there was no need to use the trimmer after it arrived. So, I tried the rotary trimmer one day after return window, after just over 1 month after purchase. I found that: 1. The cutting wheel was jammed, it arrived in such condition, but I even didn't check it carefully (I had no paper yet, when I bought it, and I was sure - stupid me - that the Dahle company is a reliable company). I contacted Dahle support about the jammed wheel, they send PDF with some details, and I fixed the jammed cutting wheel. 2. Even worse - I found that no matter how I try (and other people too), there is always at least one harsh small bump/imperfection on paper edge after cut, easily to feel when you touch it, but a bit difficult to show it on photo - unless macro probably - I have attached photo made by mobile phone. Small papers/ short edges can be cut sometimes cleanly, but bigger will not have clean cut. I wasted over £100 for Dahle 554 Rotary Trimmer 2020 Model, wich is RUBBISH.

This is a good-looking and a really well-made A2 machine. I have had an A3 paper trimmer from the same company for over 20 years and it is as good now as it was when I first used it.

Packaging is inadequate and cutting wheel is easily knocked out position and jams on metal cutting strip. You can take it apart using the hex key - don't try and push the wheel. A lot of these are coming throug on Amazon Warehouse Whatever it is, so there is clearly a packaging issue. Good cutter though.

On delivery trimmer blade was jammed so it was unuseable. Contacted the local agent for Dahle for info as to how to unjam it or how to have it fixed or replaced ( unit is sold as having a guarantee). After exchange of emails - with photos - agent avoided comment on guarantee position but simply told me to return item to Amazon as it must have been damaged in transit. No problems with returning unit to Amazon and getting a replacement. However, although trimmer is reasonably easy to use for basic paper trimming, it is nowhere near able to cut paper to the thickness it claims or deal efficiently with multiple sheets. Devices to hold sheets firm are not effective and support bar to ensure square cutting it itself not square to blade. This is not a unit for anyone doing work requiring precision or the cutting of material over about 1.5mm thick.
