Review: easy to work with and makes smooth, creamy bars - This melt and pour base melts evenly, doesn’t scorch, and sets with a really creamy, smooth finish. It holds scent and color well without separating, and the shea butter makes the bars feel moisturizing instead of drying. Cuts clean, cools fairly quickly, and doesn’t get that sticky film some cheap bases leave behind. The 2-pound block is a solid amount for small batches or gift soaps. Good beginner-friendly base that still feels high quality.

**Q: Is the palm oil ethically sourced**
A: I went to Our Earth's Secrets website itself and they state: 'The palm oil used in some of our soap bases comes from sustainable sources and comply with RSPO. We manufacture, develop, produce, and/or distribute all of Our Earth's Secrets branded products. By working directly with farmers and producers, we are able to maintain the best quality for our products while being environmentally conscious. '  I hope this helps.

**Q: Can I mix this soap with glycerin or goats milk**
A: Not 100% certain about the goat milk, but you can mix it with the glycerin.  I made mixes with both liquid and solid glycerin and it turned out fine.

**Q: Is this product vegan?**
A: Most melt and pour shea butter soap bases have these ingredients:
Coconut Oil
Palm Oil
Safflower Oil
Glycerine (kosher, of vegetable origin)
Shea Butter
Purified Water
Sodium Hydroxide (saponifying agent)
Sorbitol (moisturizer)
Sorbitan oleate (emulsifer)

Most of these are vegan items, there are some back and forth about palm oil being sustainable though

**Q: Is this dairy free ?**
A: To be honest I'm not exactly sure but I believe it is dairy free. I didn't see any dairy products in the ingredients. I made breastmilk soap using this because my kids sensitivities and it works great. You might want to contact the seller to be sure.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great Product - Super Easy to Use

I purchased this melt and pour soap base to create Christmas gifts for my friends and family - I wanted something that was easy as I have never made soap before, but something that was also good for the skin and all natural. I performed hours of research and made several test batches before I came up with a perfect soap to suit everyone on my list (recipe below). 1. After chopped into small cubes (1" x 1") the soap melted easy in the microwave - I placed it in a large pyrex measuring cup and melted in the microwave on 30 second bursts to prevent it from burning (I stirred it up between each 30 second burst) - I was super easy! 2. It smells wonderfully clean and does not contain any artificial ingredients. This product does contain Titanium Dioxide, which gives it it's opaque color (I later found that this is the case for most soaps) 3. It is smooth and creamy and feels really nice on the skin - It does not leave a greasy or oily residue. 4. It lathers up pretty good, even with all of the extra ingredients I added to it Exfoliating Soap Recipe 3 cups Melt and Pour Soap Base 1 tbsp baking soda 1 tbsp coffee grounds 1/2 tbsp French Green clay 1/2 tbsp Shea or Mango Butter 2 tsp Essential Oil of your choice 1. Melt soap in microwave as described above 2. Allow melted soap to cool a little before adding your other ingredients - this allows them to suspend more in the soap and not fall to the bottom 3. Add shea or mango butter, coffee grounds, clay, and essential oil 4. Stir until well blended 5. Pour mixture into mold and let set overnight (it will set up in 3 - 4 hours, however, I like to allow it to completely harden before de-molding Highly recommend this product for all of the reasons listed above.
