The material is a little thicker than a disposable poncho. I'm 6ft 226 pounds and the poncho is plenty roomy and long enough to keep my legs dry. Slips on and off easily. There are snaps on the arms however there isn't an adjustment for the hood. The hood barely makes it over my head especially with my glasses on.
