Birds of Florida Field Guide (Bird Identification Guides)

This little pocket book is a gem—great photos, helpful info, and it’s small enough to slip into my pocket, purse, or backpack with no problem. The bird images are clear and colorful, and the descriptions make it easy to quickly ID what I’m seeing. A must-have for Florida birdwatching, whether you’re out on a trail or just hanging in the backyard.

Excellent, specific-region guide w/glorious, colorful pictures. Detailed specifics are given for each bird in a quick-reference yet thoroughly explored format. It's portable size makes it convenient to carry and use anywhere.

Absolutely perfect birding guide. It’s small enough I can carry around but big enough to really be able to quickly see the image and text. Each page has a full color, real life bird on the left and then the right page has its facts and notes on it. This is perfect for our birding homeschool unit study. It’s the best guide we have bought so we just purchased the sports fish guide as well.

A great little book for beginners. It is bound between vinyl covers that make it a bit more durable, pages have a good thickness, a nice layout with the color code feature that makes looking up any bird quickly based on the prominent colors of the bird, and it is in between pocket size/standard size. For visual reference about the size of an average adult hand. The photography throughout the book is vibrant and you are able to see details clearly. There is also standard info plus notes/facts on each bird. I would even say this book could be for older children who aren’t interested in the kid style activity books. There were a few of these kind of books to choose from but all of them lacked pictures of the actual book which made it a bit hard to choose between them. There may be a better one but I am just a beginner so this one seems quite good quality for the price. Happy with this purchase!

Good reference and useful to identify birds. Wish had more birds in the book.

This series is so well done! This is our 4th purchase. Gifts and different states. Easy to use and clearly written.

No matter where you live in the US this is a, very beautiful and informative book on birds-the photographs are very detailed and beautiful. I gift it to any visitor to my home. It is wonderful to be able to recognize the birds, of which there are many varieties, in my garden.

These are some of my favorite books - I pick up a new "state" when I travel. Compact size is perfect for a purse or backpack and I'm not lugging around any of the larger field guides. Photos are great and very helpful in ID'ing my backyard friends.
