This thing is a palace!
Full disclosure, I am a full blown hammock camping nerd. I actually bought this to use as a two person tarp, but I'll be taking it solo too now that I've set it up and looked at it. My wife and I were planning a backpacking trip and wanted to try out the Dutchware beetle buckle tandem system, for which you need a wider rectangular tarp with a 12' ridgeline. As much as I wanted to go cottage vendor on that, I simply cannot afford one from dutch or hammock gear or warbonnet or the like. At $200 for a tarp that's a bit beyond my budget. One day I will get one, but it's not gonna happen this year. I looked at this one, had seen the previous version before, and was shocked to see they made it longer and out of silnylon, and tons of tieout points. That's a heck of a deal for $85. I swapped out all of the cordage for my own dyneema guylines, linelocks, and stakes, but I do that with every backpacking tarp to fit my setup style. The stuff they provide is not bad tho. All I really care about is the quality of the tarp itself. All of the stitching looks great, the tieout points are properly reinforced, and the ridgeline is taped. The side panel pullouts are a nice touch too at this price point. As you can see in the photos (some of which I took on an extremely windy day), I've got a few pics of it set up as winter/storm mode as how I'll be using it solo, and then also with the head end corners propped up on trekking poles for when the wife and I hang two hammocks under it. And with the continuous ridgeline I am able to use my trekking poles as a pole mod for the side panel pullouts. It's also not too heavy. Not the lightest either, but it's definitely fine for backpacking. All in all, this is a steal. I am very impressed and thankful for the level of quality that went into this and still staying budget friendly for those of us who might not have the means to go splurge on top quality cottage vendor gear. If you are new to hammock camping and are finding the costs of getting a whole new setup to be quite financially painful, trust me when I say this is among the best options you'll find if you are trying to go the budget friendly route.

Best adaptable hammock tarp around
Outstanding hammock tarp! Very easy to set up and easily configured for different weather conditions. I kept it low on the wind side, and high on the campsite side. I added carbon fiber poles to make an awning, I have used my trekking poles across the top to make the interior wider, and on one cold and snowy night I closed it up completely. I loved how the doors came together and sealed me in, leaving enough room for me to sit in my chair next to my hammock. I absolutely recommend this over most of those $200-$500 ultralight tarps out there.

Camping Tarp
I am just getting started in the hammock camping game and I wanted something that I can use all year round and I say that this Camping Tarp is such a great quality for its price. It's made from 1.1oz 20D ripstop silnylon with water resistant feature. I was not able to test if it really repels water but I am looking forward to use it this spring. The fabric is thin and lightweight, but I can say that the construction is very durable. I like that the company designed this with several attachment points as it's nice to have multiple setup options depending on the wind or weather conditions. I bought the 12 feet Rectangular tarp so it'll be big enough for sharing with a few friends. The shock cord and carabiners are of great quality and the pegs that come with it are by far my favorite kind. This camping gear also comes with a stuff sack although I hope that they provide us with bigger sack so it's easy to keep the tarp inside when not in use. I have purchased a few Onewind products and I can say that overall this brand does not disappoint. Its quality is comparable to premium brands that cost way lot.

Instructions are POOR. Quality is great.
I recently purchased this tarp. I like it a lot but the instructions for the different possible configurations are horribly poor. That's why I'm giving it a 4 rating. Very good quality. The instructions have QR codes to capture with your smart phone but the QR code shows nothing related to the tarp or it's configurations. I "did" go to a few of my outdoor sites on YouTube but even these reviewers don't understand the black plastic curly-Q clips and how to use them. The manufacturer assumes that users are highly trained camping professionals that have some high acquired mental intuitition to figure out the different configurations. I "did" buy telescoping poles after setting the tarp up for the first time. My intent is to use the tarp as an equipment shelter or a sitting shelter in rain or snow at my camp sites. If the manufacturer sees this review, PLEASE improve your instructions on configurations, clearly showing where the tie-downs are located. Thank you! March 23, 2022 Update Used it for the first time camping this week. Went well after the 4th try. It helps to know two knots. Use a Siberian knot on the first tree. Use a Trucker’s Hitch knot on the other end to get the rope tight. Lots of trouble figuring out running the rope thru the tarp. Easy at the ends. Videos show the rope UNDER the middle of the tarp. So, why did they place a double loop in the geometric center of the tarp on the TOP side of the tarp? If you run the rope on the TOP side of the tarp, through the loop in the center of the tarp, then the tarp will sag between the three support points (the two ends and the center). We set it up in a “lean-to” configuration so we can sit under the tarp on camp chairs, and used two telescopic poles and guyed off the poles. The telescopic poles, guy lines and additional stakes do not come with the tarp. We used the 4 supplied stakes on the back of the lean-to part of the tarp. This configuration worked well, but it would be good if One Wind would provide more configurations, clearly showing different configurations AND where the rope threads through. The tarp comes with 8 nice lengths of reflective paracord but no instructions are provided on how these are used.

Great tarp
I love this tarp. It is lightweight and versatile. It held up in several days of rain, some very heavy, with no leaks. I could adjust it to make the ends close when it was cooler and raining and open it for airflow when it was warmer. I raised the sides when it got hot. Plenty of room for my large German shepherd to lay under and extra camping gear. I’m testing it backpacking in the mountains next and have no doubt it will be function perfectly.

Love the tarp
I bought this last summer and have used it multiple times. Great hammock tarps. Many tabs for tie outs and multiple setup options. I got it because you can close in the ends, when it is windy and raining, or need privacy. Very nice product for the money.

Awesome hammock tarp
I'm a big fan of Onewind products this is the third Onewind hammock tarp I've purchased and the second of this type. I've had my other two for years and they're still going strong. I purchased this one for another hammock setup.I see the quality is still high on their tarps also the shock cord tie outs are now reflected which is cool and it comes with four small Carabiners. As usual all the seams are sealed with tape and the tie outs are reinforced. You really can't beat the quality, size, and price of this tarp.

best hammock shelter!
this thing is the best! I have used this shelter during blizzards and crazy rain storms. keeps you warm and dry just like a shelter should! the many tie off points give you a bunch of options of how you can set it up and it's super durable. I have been using this shelter for almost 2 years now and it hasn't failed me yet.

Very large and very heavy when hanging, not easy in strong winds
Great hot tent tarp with one but, that but is that it is heavy when hanging in the way described by the manufacturer. On a continuous ridgeline with prusic knots it is like trying to hang a very wet oversized wool blanket, no fun in strong winds. It would be far better with a lighter material. The trick i have found is hang it over the continuous ridgeline with better cordage. However it's a good winter setup.

Lightweight backpacker's hexagon tarp
Fits above my 11' hammock perfectly. I have combined it with my onewind rainponcho/tarp and I am able to create several bonus customizations to my setup depending on weather. On it's own, this tarp is super lightweight and folds and tightens almost flat in my pack. Setting up is super easy, especially combined with the onewind ridgeline. The cordage is strong and long enough and the way you can bundle up the extra cord and lock it makes it even better. I keep all the cords folded and organized still attached to the tarp and it fits easily in the stuff sack. Also the stuff sack is double sided so you can attach your tarp without it touching the ground. The pegs are aluminum and sturdy with ridges cut into them and with loops of cord at the end you can remove and use as prusiks wherever if you want.
