I like that the end is not pointed, partly due to the fact I had a very bloody mishap when I dropped a pointed kitchen knife recently on/in my foot. I have also invested in a set of their standard kitchen knives, which are just as good as this knife. With it being Christmas week I have been peeling, dicing, slicing etc all week and this carving knife and the kitchen knife set of the same have held up very well and been a pleasure to work with, with no sign of them needing sharpening as yet.
