Four years after the events of Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam Darcy have to put their efforts to produce an heir on hold when Fitzwilliam is infected with a zombie bite, and Elizabeth must find a rumored antidote soon--or face beheading her beloved. Original. Review: This trilogy screams MOVIE - Ok so now I have read all three of the trilogy and I have to say I love them all. It was PPZ that got me back into reading let alone into the whole zomibe genre. I love the mix of life in old England and Zombies. I have read a ton of modern day zombie novels and after a while they all kind of melt together, but this trilogy has that extra bit story that some seem to leave out. That is not to say there are not some really good modern day end of the world novels brought on by a zombie virus, but this is something diferent. Now I would love to see this trilogy made into a movie, it has something for everyone and would certainly be better than the Twilight series. So if you are looking for a fun read with zombies, love twists, fight scenes with ninja precision fighting, and jolly old England these books are perfect. Review: Love this Series! - This book wraps the story up so neatly, while giving you a good story in between. I would of however loved it if the other gave a bit more detail in the ending. Donโt get me wrong. It was good, but I would of preferred a bit more substance. This still gets 5 stars because the books in this series were actually well written, and kept me captivated the whole time. So, much that Iโve read the entire series 3 times already. Should really check out this series if your into romanticism, and supernatural stuff.

Upon marriage warrior women must retire and become gentlewoman at the side of their husbands???
4.5 stars While I didn't much care for the first two books in this trilogy and while I have to add the disclaimer that I was worried that this author was not aware of the HEA rule in JAFF, I did get a most satisfactory conclusion in this paranormal variation to Jane Austen's Pride and Prejudice. We are told in the book description that while the marriage of our dear couple is still in its infancy Darcy is bitten by a Dreadful and reminding us that Elizabeth knows she is to behead him and then burn the body. Now you know, you have to know, that our story is not going THERE. Remembering her dearest friendโs lingering death in Hunsford, Elizabeth knows that Lady Catherine might, just might, have something to stave off death orโฆhopefully, even by now, something to save and cure Elizabethโs dear husband. So Lady Catherine is sent for. BUT we also learn here that Lady C. is even more bent on expunging Elizabeth from not only their circles in society but from Darcyโs life, and love. She holds all the cards and Elizabeth has no choice but to accept ALL Lady C.โs terms. Darcy is taken to Rosings, while Elizabeth and others of the Bennet family are sent on a scurrilous mission to London. I really was taken aback at what the requirements put on the Bennets outlined! And Lady Catherine has ninja warriors of her own which she sends to keep track of and guide the Bennets' mission. Nezu, the man in the box, Bunny, Angus McFarquhar, Mary and Kitty Bennet (with very good supporting roles) plus a little of Mr. Bennet thrown in to give us an intriguing story in this paranormal tale. Meanwhile: back at Rosings we are mystified as to just what Anne de Bourgh is all about. This is not the pale, quiet and retiring Anne sitting in the corner upon a settee that we know of in canon. And Lady Catherine โ the mighty warrior, Lady Catherine, continues to demand and manipulate and blackmail to have her way. I have to admit that up until about 80% of this story I was worried that this author was not clued in on the necessity of a Happily Ever After, for JAFF variations. I will sometimes read the endings of stories but in having this on my kindle that is not as easily done โ but I was tempted to take the trouble and go there. There are parts of this story that meander about, details given as to how London is divided into sections named for their directional locations (south east center, etc.) and sections about the presence of the Undead and their forays into the town, and a little about the insanity of the ruling monarchs of that era. Bethlem/Bedlam plays a part interestingly. As I said initially I read the three books in this series due to the impending release of the movie based on P&P and Zombies. I do hope and pray that this third book in part of the story.

Good book!
I compulsively reread this. Won't reveal the plot but nice story for Kitty and Mary. I like adaptations where the girls mature and avoid Lydia's fate. Mr. Bennett is as cool as in the first book Dawn of the Dreadfuls. That is better than this one. I wish both were longer, but that always happens when like something.

Like a Cheesy Horror Film
THIS REVIEW CONTAINS SPOILERS! This was the best of the three. But I'm not certain if that is because it's actually better or because by the third book, I was able to suspended any hope of something like The Walking Dead and just assumed I was getting Night of the Living Dead. This made the story moderately enjoyable. Like watching a cheesy horror flick because it is a cheesy horror flick. The zombies still don't make sense. How the hell did King George get bitten? Why, after 20+ years of zombie attacks, have the British NOT figured out how to handle the issue? And what happen to the bunny? Because I really did care more about the bunny than the people. One might argue that since I care about the story, it must be good. Don't mistake my questions for caring. I ask them because if the answers had any consistency or coherent reality to them, the story would be ten times better. But the answers are dumb and so is the story. The only bit I liked was Anne being a zombie. As she was always described as a "pale, sickly creature" this was perfect. However, there was a enough ridiculous romance, nasty ninja, dastardly doctors, and flesh-eating zombies to make this a fine read for a lazy afternoon by the pool. I wouldn't recommend it, but I also wouldn't buy copies just to burn.

Better than the original
I read the original book, Pride and Prejudice and Zombies after being on a Pride and Prejudice spree (watched the movie and the BBC movie, re-read the original) and was amused but by the end uninspired as little changed in the book overall. This however, being not based on any book, was fun. It kept many of the original characters and flung them into a new problem, including talk of a character from the prequel that Hockensmith wrote as well (their original master) but it's not required reading, though now I want to read it too. Do Darcy and Elizabeth get their happy ever after? Will Kitty be as silly as Lydia ever hoped to be?! It kept me reading to find out what happened, and I enjoyed it. Was it perhaps the most masterfully written book ever? No. Did it have everything I hoped Pride and Prejudice and Zombies would have? Yes.

Bought used but looks new!
I didnโt expect the book to be in such great condition! It looks brand new! The only thing that wasnโt perfect was the tiny little itty bitty spider that looks like it tried to hitchhike but got killed by a page lol

A good ending for a good series
The last book in the mash-up trilogy Pride and Prejudice and Zombies starts out a few years into Elizabeth and Fitzwilliam's marriage. As a married lady, Elizabeth is no longer allowed to carry a sword, although her hand-to-hand combat skills are just as deadly as ever. During a walk home from her sister's house, Elizabeth reluctantly confesses to her husband that she finds the thought of motherhood somewhat... unappealing. In his shock, Mr. Darcy allows an unmentionable to get too close, and it bites him. Elizabeth knows she must kill her husband, but cannot bring herself to do it. Instead, she seeks the aid of the legendary Lady Catherine. Lady Catherine reveals that she knows how to cure her nephew - but the price for her assistance is high. Perhaps too high. Elizabeth boldly agrees to whatever terms the Lady Catherine requires, which may cure her husband but kill her marriage. She sets out or London, her family at her side, to slay zombies, fight off ninjas, and seek the cure before Darcy is lost forever. As with the previous two books, Dreadfully Ever After was action-packed, fast-paced, and full of humor, suspense, and even a few surprises. I'm not a big reader of the `classics' (your gasps of horror inserted here), so these horror/regency/classics mash-ups are perfect for me. Modern apocalyptic twists make stuff I probably should have read a long time ago more appealing. This one takes itself a little more seriously than the first two books, but it still has the wit and humor I've come to expect from the series. It was nice to see Mary and Kitty enjoy some limelight, although I did miss spending more time with Elizabeth and Darcy, who are separated for the majority of the novel. The middle of the book was a bit draggy, with more angst and less action than I'd like, but the love scenes are still interrupted by frequent bouts of violence and entrails flying through the air. If you enjoyed the first two in this series, you'll enjoy this book.

Dreadfully Fun!
A great, imaginative sequel that ties things up quite nicely and provides a solid ending to the trilogy inspired by the classic Jane Austen novel. It also incorporates real-life historical events of the Regency period (King George III's seclusion, for one) and works it into the narrative in an appropriate and amusing way. If you like "Pride & Prejudice & Zombies" and the prequel, "Dawn of the Dreadfulls", you should read this book. Highly recommended!

want to start again
Firstly i brought the comic Pride and Prejudice by quirk classics, found that i was totally hooked on the fact that it works so well zombies and period drama, both my favourites and ties in very well with my sense of humour. Then i brought Dreadfully ever after, great and now just finished reading this one, all fantastic and would highly recommend.
