Amazing Product
This blender is amazing for the price, I bought it when it was on special and I'm very pleased with it.. Good sturdy build doesn't jump around when in use so you don't need to sit on it while it's blending, in its vibrant red looks good in your kitchen, the powerful 800w motor powers through everything with ease. I have had this blender for a couple of months now and I use it every day. I am a veggie who eats a lot of green smoothies which most blenders heave and moan trying to blend various veggies, but this zooms through the lot beautifully.. All in all I can't fault this product at all...

Kenwood kMix. A good product but ..
I would have given this 5 stars if it wasn't for the clumsy way you have to dismantle the lid to clean it. Maybe I've got one that's particularly difficult and hopefully it will loosen as it gets used but at the moment it's a real pain trying to get the rubber seal from the lid, especially when it's got food all over it. Other than that it's a brilliant blender, simple to use and blends really well. Strong construction and one hopefully that will last for years. Expensive but then I've bought ones that have been far cheaper that have either fallen apart within a few months or don't do what they say they can do. Would definitely buy this again but lid assembly could do with a redesign.

Saves time making soup
Brilliant gadget. I read all the reviews about liquidisers and juicers and decided to go for this. I wanted something that would do lots and save me time as I was starting on the 5:2 fast diet. Juicing is fine in the summer however living in Scotland I prefer soup. I liquidise veggies and fruits and then cook them into soups and purees which saves time and effort as I only need to peel the thickest skins. I can also use the ice crusher setting for frozen fruit and veg when making a smoothy and dips are a dawdle too. Easy to clean as it comes apart easily and being glass I feel it is more hygienic than plastic. The jug and lid are also robust enough to be dish washed or steam cleaned.

A Great Blender
When I first got this out of the box my first thought was "what have I done?". It was on the heavy side and I wondered if I would be able to cope with it. That is it's advantage though. It is a very well made machine, and would stand up to a professional working kitchen environment. The great points are that you can fill the jug up almost to the top, it starts off with low revs avoiding the blast that usually takes the lid off and lastly if you don't hold on to the heavy duty glass jug, it stays where it is! Another joy is that it can be taken apart easily and cleaned with minimum effort. Well done Kenwood.

Avoid: no safety lock, non heat resistant glass, cheap plastic parts, does not blend well
I saw this in a local shop, but it was too expensive for my tastes. When I saw it had recently come down in price, I ordered one. When it arrived I was shocked to discover that you cannot pour hot liquids into the jug. You must let them cool to room temperature, which will add at least half an hour to the cooking times. Quite why an item this expensive does not include a Pyrex jug is beyond me, and rather disappointing. I was also surprised to find that the blender has no safety mechanism. You can take the lid off with the blender on, and it continues. I would not want this in a kitchen where young children were present. I was also surprised to find that the base is made from a cheap silver coloured plastic, and that the two buttons in the base are also made from cheap plastic, detracting from the overall feel of the unit. What's more the symbols on the two buttons will without doubt wear off after a year or two of use. In terms of features, you can read the manufacturers fluff to find that out. Suffice to say it has a blade that goes round, and a range of settings to suit different uses. It is very heavy, and the jug alone is quite heavy, surprisingly so. I was tempted to send this back, but it could cost quite a bit due to the weight so I have kept it. But I am disappointed that an expensive item has so many flaws, some serious, not present in most cheap units. As a side note, I opted for First Class delivery. After I placed the order I was informed that it was to be sent by Home Delivery Network, and not Royal Mail as expected. I have had two previous experiences with this company, both very bad. On one occasion the customer representative was unhelpful and rude, and it turned out that the delivery was not even for me. They had placed a card through the wrong door, and had not even written the customer's name on the card. I almost drove 30 miles to pick up the parcel too. On the second occasion they left a card through the door, and the nearest depot was 30 miles away. So I had to drive 60 miles. As a result I am not buying any further items from Amazon, as I will not use a company that ships items via HDN. Note added 15 May 2012: I have now used this blender a bit more, and to my astonishment it cannot puree a tin of tomatoes without leaving lumps. Even my old cheap Moulinex blender can puree tomatoes, and hot soups, so in my opinion this product is sub-standard. I advise people to look elsewhere.
