They check in but never check out
I am a person who literally doesn’t kill flies spiders, gnats, or anything. I coexist with them and let them live… Typically! I moved to a new home near the coast in San Diego and I’ve found that my back patio will literally be swarming with flies. Particularly around my plants and rosebushes. Every time I would walk out the door at least one or two would breach the sanctity of my home and irritate me beyond belief. The excessive flies on my patio drove me to the brink of insanity so I searched high and low for the right product of mass destruction. I wanted to find a humane way, but didn’t appear to be one so I had to go big or go home. I ordered one product and it did not work at all. It maybe caught 3-4 flies. That wasn’t good enough for me, I was angry with the flies at this point, so upon further research I stumbled across this killer. By the way, I did not find the smell to be overwhelming. Yeah, it smelled somewhat but I’m not outside hanging around it all the time so it was a non-factor for me. Followed the easy set up instructions and set these bad boys outside.( I got the set of two.) Within minutes, this one did what the other did not do in over a week. Both traps had 20-30 flies in it already. As a humane person, I felt horrible, watching them entering knowing they would never leave. . I had to harden my heart and stay the course. As the day progressed, the jars became watery graves for hundreds of flies. I was able to walk out onto my patio and saw very few active flies. As traumatizing as the experience was, I ordered two more! I have a large patio space.. I also ordered refills. These things were so effective!!! If you can stomach the traps of death, I would absolutely recommend this product. I feel so excited that I will be able to enjoy my beautiful patio setting without being divebombed constantly. I’m sorry flies, I know you are an important part of the Eco system but you did this to yourselves. RIP. Update: a week into the using the traps of doom, I would safely say that almost all four jars are full of fly corpses. I hate to see them in there struggling, but like I said above, They brought this upon themselves. I can literally walk out my back patio or front door and see no active flies other than those who are struggling for survival. These contraptions walk the walk and talk the talk. If you are having fly issues, I would highly recommend these bad boys.

Awesome. Reuse at your own risk. 48 hours caught hundreds hovering at my back door.
It is nice that they can be reused, but no way will I be doing anything except replacing them. The bait itself isn't necessarily a bad smell, but when you fill it with hundreds of poo eating rotting fly carcasses it smells horrid. The flies leave poo specks on the white top as well. Flies carry disease, as if eating poo isn't bad enough. I do not plan to expose myself to them by attempting to reuse these. Because of that I wish the size was bigger. Never planned on catching so many. I used my first two for 48 hours and wound up with more dead flies than liquid bait in the bottom of the jars. I bagged them and waited two days for any live ones to die. I dumped them into a ziploc container just to show my mother...eww. I use Terro for ants which is great. Curious if you could use a 1 gallon water jug to save some money. The flies get in and really can't get out so the container style definitely works. Just worried that if you give them too much extra room they might be able to get back out. The bait is only about an inch of the bottom of the container. The rest of the space I assume appears inviting giving them a slight sense of security. I might try to cut a hole in the bottom of one of these and place it over the neck of a 1 gallon water jug. I will try to use one packet of bait at first. Other than that, these traps are good quality and definitely worth the cost. One tiny drawback, the more you kill, it appears the more that show up to the party. I started with putting a trap where the problem was at my back door and then when I replaced it I moved it slightly farther away. I did read that if you kill one female you can effectively prevent 100-200 more from being born. Although many species, the ones I mainly see have an approx lifespan of 30 days. As long as none of those 30 days are spent flying around outside my back door or sneaking into my house I am absolutely thrilled with this product and tell everyone about it. I would give it 6 stars if I could!!!!

Works Amazingly Well (Just Keep It Away from Seating!)
I bought two of these Outdoor Fly Traps for my backyard, and they’ve been a game changer. Within just a few days, I noticed a huge difference, while the traps definitely attract a lot of flies, I’d estimate around 95% of them end up trapped inside. It’s oddly satisfying to see just how well they work! One thing to note: the bait has a strong fishy smell. It’s not pleasant up close, but it’s part of why these traps work so well. I recommend placing them a good distance from where you sit or eat outdoors. I hung one near our patio and another closer to the side yard, and they immediately started filling up. I’m planning to grab a third one to put by our trash cans to keep that area cleaner, too. If you spend time outside, especially in the summer, this is a must-have. It keeps the flies away from where we eat and relax, and I love that it’s a non-toxic solution that actually works. Highly recommend!

SHOCKINGLY EFFECTIVE - I will never not have these again during summer 🪰
It is INSANE 🤯 how well these work. I bought them after noticing an increase in flies when my hydrangeas naturally started finishing their bloom cycle. ONE DAY with them made huge difference. I followed both setup instructions — one trap at ground level, one hanging — and both filled up completely in just a few days. I immediately ordered another pack to hang on a shepards hook in the back of my backyard. However - they are so effective that by the time my second two pack arrived, my original jars were already completely full. I will be ordering a third pack. The smell is noticeable, but only when you're nearby or there's a breeze — it doesn't make your whole yard stink. The surprise? MAGGOTS, They develop inside the jar from the trapped flies, and while the jar is designed to keep them in, some of the really tiny ones can crawl back out through the tapered entry holes if the trap is very full. It's not a dealbreaker, but definitely something to be aware of. The fact that they are breeding as they die is DISGUSTING lol. Disposal is not pleasant (not the jars fault) — mine were full way before trash day. I didn’t want them sitting in my can, so I used duct tape to seal the lid and the holes (photo included). I also considered placing the sealed jar in a box with a Taro Trash Can Insect Killer disk to help eliminate anything still moving — since those are effective on flies and maggots inside enclosed spaces. One small tip: the orange sticker peels off if you want the jar to look a little less gross while it’s hanging. I didn't learn that until my second set 🤷🏼♀️

Dog sitter? You NEED this!
I have a dog sitting side hustle and take pride in keeping my yard nice and clean for both dogs and humans. Not only are they annoying, but flies can carry diseases, so it’s important to keep them in check. At my wit’s end, one of my clients told me about this product and I ordered it immediately. To my grossed out surprise, the traps captured so many within two days, I had to top up the solution several times and started a second container on Day 2 as I noticed dozens of immature flies invaded the area. Now to figure out how to dispose of them. WHEN IT FILLS: I read in another review to tape off the holes to suffocate those trapped, so I am waiting for their demise to empty into another closed container and start again. Purchased 3 more packets of powder to get me through summer. IMPORTANT FOR PETS: They will be curious about the stinky smell, so keep containers secure where they can’t reach them. I initially did not trap many flies when the bottle was hung on a tree branch. When I placed it between bushes in a raised planter bed, I caught one of the dogs walking off with a mostly empty container. He dropped it when I rushed outside and licked at the lid. In a panic, I quickly googled the ingredients, whether it was toxic or not, possibly inducing vomiting, how was I going to explain this to his mom if he was accidentally poisoned…??? Luckily, I read the contents is organic and non-toxic - probably powdered dung. Crisis averted, but lesson learned, and I also had to cover up the hundreds of dead flies that spilled out. Lovely. NOTE: USE WARM WATER as the directions say to dissolve the powder. For the second batch, I absentmindedly filled container with water from refrigerator dispenser and it would not dissolve fully. As a result, very few flies were attracted and it seemed a waste until the sun heated up the product and we were back in business. All in all, this product is a game changer. Highly recommend.

It works but… BEWARE
This product works. It works quickly and attracts flies BUT it attracts ALL THE FLIES! I would not recommend this product to residential, or homeowners with small yards or near any seating areas/doors. This thing attracted way more flies than what was on my property. I almost feel like the flies quickly laid eggs and they hatched. There were soooo many that I had to take it down immediately. It also smells once the flies starts getting trapped in there. I had it up for 3 days and already had to throw it out due to the amount of flies it caught. So if you are only getting 2 for $25 and they last a few days then you’ll be spending a lot of money. I won’t be buying this again. I’ll look for another fly trapper. Overall, it works BUT it doesn’t last long and it either attracts every single fly in the neighborhood or it causes flies to lay larva and hatch producing more flies.

Absolutely Amazing Product !!
These things are just amazing, they shocked me at just how many flies these catch in such a short time. I read one review that claimed that the whole jar filled up and quite frankly, I thought it was just not a real review. I was so shocked when I saw how many flues were trapped in mine and sure enough, it filled up in a few days. Keep the liquid topped up as I am in Florida and it does tend to evaporate, either that or the flies consume it....but quite honestly, I just cannot imagine anything doing a better job than these. I do think I attracted more flies than would have bothered my back area if left alone....but these things really enable you to win the war on flies, which we had in our back yard as it faces a canal that was very congested after a hurricane. I originally just threw the first one out because it was really disgusting and was literally full of flues and I could not face the cleanup, as the smell is pretty bad if you get close. I then found a way to put a 12 inch freezer bag over the top when I undo the top and keep the bag sliding over the top as I extract the white hood and the black top....then I invert and remove the jar as the whole gooey mess falls into the bag. I then double bagged again in grocery bags and threw in the garbage... I thought about spreading them over the lawn as the mixture is natural product, but to be honest I am pretty sure the dead flies would make it toxic or the very least a grass killer and a hazard to bunnies who roam my back frequently. All in all, an astonishingly good product that works like a charm! I only wish I could see the look on your face after you check the jar after a single day....it is shocking....

Works amazingly well
At any given time I'd have at least 6-10 Flys in my super clean home! Doors always open, in and out ect. Didn't want to put up Nast fly tape so I tried these. What you must know.... The come with fly bait. Screw off lid, add bait and fill to line with water. Don't even need to mix. Leave the little whit umbrellas on, keep rain out They can be set on a table post ect or hung up with provided hooks Any fly bait can be reordered, containers can be emptied They smell like hot garbage, it's an atrocious stench like a trash can on a 100 degree day, after some Flys accumulate it smells exactly propane. Actually had the propane company come out, sooo embarrassing I originally had one inside but the stench was unbearable 2 I have to outside. One seated on my table near door and the other on my deck post. Attracts Flys by the hundreds. Mine are filled with thousands each and still working , I find an occasional fly I. The house once in awhile so they are very effective I question if these are actually attracting more Flys to my home and by the thousands I see in the trap in only 9 days, I gotta say yes, bc if they were all alive we'd have an infestation BUT even if attracting more to the device, it's not an issue at all bc its keeping me from killing upwards of 10 daily inside. And it's killing the ones that would of came in anyway. Must buy!
