Review: Powerblock Elite - Had these since lockdown and they are still working great! They are well made. I would recommend. Review: I've had these for a little while now and really like them. I had tried one of the cheaper options that you rotate to engage different plates and they felt a little gimmicky. I've read tons of reviews on PowerBlocks and everyone loves them. Yes, the balance is a little weird, and adding incremental weight to the handles is both inconvenient and messes with the balance even more, but I see the unbalanced aspect as just something to get used to - and once you've accepted it, you can also tell yourself that you're working more stabilizer micro muscles. They also kinda suck for wrist curls, but they can be done with these weights. I'm mostly bouncing between 25 and 35 pounds right now depending on the exercise and find it really easy to switch the weights. They also make pretty decent kettle bells by gripping the bottom two bars of the frame - I pretty much just use this for goblet squats. I will also use one of the bottom handlebars when doing single leg Romainian deadlifts - it seems to be easier to balance with the weight hanging down just a little bit. These really shine for shoulder presses and inclined dumb bell presses, and hanging onto while doing things like lunges, they start to feel a little bulky for bicep curls and tricep extensions. I love how solidly they sit on the floor too - I even use them for step-downs. Pretty comfortable for adding weight to glute bridges and adding weight to crunches too. First of all they are very similar. They are both expandable to 90 lbs, Same increments and adder weights, closed handle design and five year limited warranty. Now here are the differences: 1. All Powerblock products are produced in China except for Powerblock Elite USA (not just the Elite EXP 2020 version). The country of origin will be engraved on the weight block. 2. The expandable weights (Stage 2 and Stage 3) are not fully compatible between Elite USA and Elite EXP 2020 version. Elite USA expansion Stage 2 and Stage 3 will not fit with Elite EXP 2020 version (50lbs powerblock is also known as Stage 1). So if you buy the Elite EXP 2020 version do not purchase from Powerblocks website expansion set. Only purchase from other vendors (like walmart and Dicks sporting goods). Elite EXP 2020 dimensions are bigger than the Elite USA so they will technically fit on the Elite USA, but it will not look right since they will look bigger on it. Of note: Many users answer this question stating that Elite EXP 2020 is not expandable and that is false. It is available from other vendors other than Powerblock website. Make sure you get the right one. 3. As I mention their sizes are slightly different. The Elite USA's are slightly smaller, but looks very similar otherwise. 4.
