**Q: What is the size of the train cars**
A: I do not know if they fit a specific model train size, but to me, they appear close to HO gauge. My grandson has other wooden railroad cars and track, and these match those perfectly. It seems that this is a standard size for these wooden railroad toys.

**Q: Do these require the wooden tracks, or do they also roll on a hard floor as a wheeled toy?**
A: The wheels enable the train to roll on a wooden track or the floor or really anywhere flat!

This has been that one toy that goes everywhere. The toy we’ve spent hours tracking down when misplaced. They don’t work perfectly. We’ve found the need to loosen the screws on the wheel trucks when it’s being used on wooden tracks. The screw needs to be tightened for regular play on the floor. For a kid that’s into metra trains, there’s nothing cooler. The paint on the cab car and passenger car is top notch. Very intricate and lifelike. Sometimes we’ll go watch the tran at the station, it’s adorable to see him all excited holding a miniature version of the same train, gets lots of smiles. They’re quite expensive but so worth it. I’m sure that collectively, people have spent much more on mass produced toys that broke quickly or are now at the Salvation Army. Dollar for dollar, this has brought enough joy for enough childhood to make it a good value.
