The bb4000.1 is for real !!!!!
After reading the reviews I decided on buying this model to replace the sub amp in my truck that I sold to finish an install. I have a small stereo business and have been installing for over 30 years. First the quality of the amp is top notch. No flimsy rca or power hook ups and I do like the ratchet type pot meters on most of the settings. It has a fan on the bottom of the amp for added cooling as well. I listen to classic rock and like the kick drum hit rather than the boom from my subs. I pushing 2 sound stream 12's that are located right behind my seats in a Dodge Ram pick up. I thought they hit hard before with my old amp but this amp pushes them twice as hard. I was looking at the large Alpine amps to replace my old amp because I had installed several and they do have a lot of clean power but they didn't make a model with a lot of power to fit under my seat. This amp is somewhat long but very narrow for an amp with this much power. So I purchased this one. To get the full output of this amp one would need a hefty upgrade of their electrical system. I have a small upgrade (230 amp alternator and 2 yellow top batteries). I have the gain set to 10 o clock and the bass boost at around 11. At these low settings this amp delivers a great deal of power to my subs and I have no doubt that they could blow them if I went any higher. The subs are rated for 1200 rms and 3000 peak. Although this amp pushes my speakers harder my lights dim less than with the older amp. I would say this amp is very efficient for the power it delivers. I have the means to buy any amp on the market but why waste money on big name brand amps when this unit delivers way more power and clarity than I would ever need. My son plugged in some hip hop to see how well the amp performed on the low bass and it was insane how loud things got in that truck. I turned it down after only a few second because it really hurt my ears and at my age I don't need any more of that. I have installed tons of stereo in my day but Bang for the buck factor goes to this amp hands down. This amp is for real and I can't think of any amp for $250 that could compete. I got out the truck and let my son jam out for a while and the amp didn't even get warm. I mean it was actually cool to the touch. Just a hint, after setting the amp I took some white out and made a white dot on the pot meter stems so it's easier to see if your amp is mounted under a seat. Speakers are in a 2 ohm load by the way. Hope this review helped anyone who is looking for a top notch product and a great price.

Amp quit after 9 months of use. No warranty, customer service sucks.
Amp went into protection mode after 9 months of use. Burnt up and customer service will not issue warranty. The guy is talking in circles. Had it connected to a rockville 15" speaker 1250 RMS . Speaker is still fine. Disconnected this amp and put the one out of my truck in, all is fine. Wiring isn't an issue.

Big Bang does it again
I never write product reviews, but this is worth an awesome review. I tried the hifonics Brutus brx 2400 and it was awesome but the amp depth was really deep. The gain on hifonics was up to 75% and I really didn't like for level to have to be that high. I am familia with Big Bang dating back to early 2000s, but I was skeptical of newer model. I consider buying a refurb of the bb2400.1 because I know it's awesome, but this successor is just as awesome or (awesomer). I have it on American 2 American bass xr12d4 and they hit deep like my lanzar optidrive15. If you are hesitant, don't be I promise you will not be disappointed. Gain right at 50% and it doesn't even get warm

Now i tuned it to were i dont have to mess with it only with my epicenter and it works great. S*** i wish i knew this before now
So i bought this amp last week because I was having issues with my BB2500.1 going into protect mode but this one did the same thing. I kept troubleshooting I bought new 0Gauge memphis wire, Kinetic battery, and a beafier line out converter and after all that it still kept going into protect mode. At last i found out that the issue was the bass knob, in the instruction manual it says that it should not be used a volume and I did and it kept making it go into protect mode. Now i tuned it to were i dont have to mess with it only with my epicenter and it works great. S*** i wish i knew this before now i have an extra amp laying around smfh.... i have 2 kicker comps DVC 2ohm and a audio control epicenter in my 11 sonata. it does bang real hard, i need better subs.

Trust me when I tell you this amp is worth every penny...I have two bb 4000.1 running 2 15d2 orion hcca sub's (monsters) one on each sub wire down to 1 ohm load...and the gain only a quarter of the way up while braking in these sub's...and its breath taking bass...I don't ever right a review but this product is for real...if you want power for a vary low price...look no ferther...you won't be disappointed...

My sound shop laughed at me when I brought this in to get installed. Once installed my head was held high and they couldn't believe the power this amp was pushing out. I had it hooked up to a kicker solo x 12 and it blew the speaker with no problem. I then upgraded to a Orion hcca and it was love at first sight between the amp and subwoofer. They blend perfectly and I couldn't be any happier. Planet audio fan for life!!!
