It Does What it Says it Will Do!
If you really want to train hard, take these. In fact, you will have to be careful to not over train. I'm not an athlete and just wanted something that would naturally give me more energy. As with all these types of products, I was a bit skeptical on the front end as to whether or not the product will work. Without a doubt, these do. I'm not a big fan of taking a lot of pills, but taking these over the course of the day is more effective than taking more than one at a time. Yes, I was trying to lose weight. In addition to changing my diet I exercised more. Just weights (PowerTec), an elliptical machine and a stationary recumbent bike at home. When you usually exercise without a supplement at some point you get tired or hit a wall. Not with taking these. You feel as though you're not training hard enough and could keep going for hours. Additionally, after training longer and harder, I don't feel "worn out" like I used to, so it also helps with recovery. Whereas I struggled to make 10 minutes on the elliptical, I now can go and hour and a half and still feel like I've got more in the "tank." I now warm-up with a 225 pound bench press. I have gone from over 300 pounds since the beginning of this year to about 238 with a goal of 190. Anyway, I like this product; I get the endurance I want without the side effects of and other product. It's pricey, but what's the cost of good health?

EPO-Boost = Awesome
As a triathlete you are always looking for products to keep your energy high so that you can train hard. After reading the EPO-Boost advertisement in a Triathlete magazine I decided to give it a try. I was told that I would see a difference in the first few weeks. Well I have to tell you that I misread the suggested use directions. I say take up to 4 so I did. I am a 6'2" 220 so I took all 4 tablets at once an hour before my ride. At first I didn't notice anything different. Then all of a sudden I thought to myself "It is easy to breath as I am going up a moderate climb". If you feel good on a hill then you continue to push it. The more I pushed it on the ride, the stronger I felt. It was awesome The next day I went out for a hilly 8 mile trail run. Normally I tend to get a little tired just after 1/2 way. But that day I felt great. I continued to push it on the run and felt fantastic. Well as good as you could running 8 miles in the hills. :-) EPO-Boost is really an awesome product. Every one of my friends that I have purchased the product sees similar results.

Better stamina for life activities
My regular workouts have been tougher than usual in the past few months. I have a blood disorder where I make less hemoglobin. I enjoyed my workouts more after taking Niagen - better motivation, attitude, alertness - but, attributed the physical struggle to aging (46) and my blood disorder. After taking this for 3 days, my run time was one of my better times (no PR), but, I was able to power up hills rather than slow to a crawl. Niagen makes me feel great, more motivated, more "awake", but, this has given me the ability to dig deep and get through my workouts and activities without feeling as tired and worn down. I was cleaning my house yesterday until 11 p.m. after a full day of work, like I did when I was in my 20s, then went to bed and was asleep by 11:30 p.m. and woke up feeling great. I am not sure how much of a factor my blood disorder is, but I know before EPO Boost, I couldn't exercise as often as my peers, required a longer recovery time, and did not obtain gains as quickly as they do. I am happy with this product at this point - product information and reviews indicate results after 2-4 weeks. I am very excited going forward to see if there are other improvements. I can't imagine that this is a placebo effect. I have taken other supplements that did not work for me. SAVE YOUR BOTTLES - manufacturer claims if after 90 days when taken as directed (3 bottles) if not satisfied, they will refund your money. This stuff isn't cheap! Depending on your physiology, this may or may not work for you. UPDATE 5/15/18 After using this for almost 2 months, I can only say, WOW! Today, I ran 5 miles after work. Prior to taking this, I would not have done much afterwards. Today, I mowed the lawn, weeded, and cooked dinner. I am surprised by how much more I can accomplish by taking this. I don't feel drained by 5pm like I used to. My times on my runs are a bit better, but, I run more frequently and the runs seem to take less effort.

The taste is not that great, but seeing an increase in performance is worth ...
I have seem some improvement since using the product. I mountain bike 5 times a week. I have notice that my recovery time after a hard effort on a climb is much quicker. EPO Boost helps give you that extra gear. The only reason I did not give them a five star is their capsule is hard to swallow. I find it much easier to breakup the capsule and drink the content instead. The taste is not that great, but seeing an increase in performance is worth the sacrifice. They recommend taking 4 capsule a day for the first 30 days. That seems a bit excessive for me. I decided to take 2 capsule a day instead. Gives my body an opportunity to absorb the product better. Since using the product I have set several PR on my rides. Good training supplement.

More endurance? Maybe
Some people complain about this not giving them more "energy" and i agree, it doesn't nor is it supposed to but it does seem to help performance when you push it and more specifically, endurance. I noticed no difference after the first week but I am on my second week at 4 a day and though I haven't suddenly shattered All of my Strava PRs (mainly because it's earlier in the season and I haven't ridden with many Cat 2 or 3 racers so far) i definitely notice that pushes and bursts that would usually wear out my muscles, doesn't. The biggest difference is the recovery from these bursts comes MUCH quicker...i also feel like I am doing the same speeds when I am looking at Strava but I am taking more pulls up front. So the speeds on paper are close to the same but the riders are drafting behind me, not the other way around. Only one effort so far at the gym felt easier but all of this is coming out of the winter where I wasn't as active so I may just be getting back into shape. Ultimately it's hard to tell but after 60 miles today, I felt like I could have done 100...my longest ever ride is 70...not because I can't but just haven't and I will admit now that I am home, I am most certainly still sore and exhausted...just wasn't as sore on the bike. Also, not sure my top speed is any higher, but I still feel like I can hold that speed longer and without a drastic slow recovery right after. They say it may take 3-4 weeks for it to start working so if at 4 weeks I can continue to improve twice as much in two weeks, i will be sold. And it's also been noted that these aren't necessarily crazy, expensive or hard to come by ingredients. Most people know the B vitamins are good for cycling so would just buying b vitamins along with echinacea be just as effective?? That's an experiment that is worth conducting as it is expensive. Perhaps I will update in two more weeks and see if perceived improvements advance. Update: Ok now that I have passed over the 4 weeks that it supposedly takes to take full effect, and that the weather/season has changed enough to allow some group rides with the racing teams, I do not feel this made me any faster or given me more endurance. As I mentioned, at week 2-3 I felt like it did up until the point where it didn't and then even gives me this almost Bonked, dizzy, hungry feeling long after my rides... I mean, one could conclude that I feel this way because I am pushing myself harder and my body is responding to such a drastic work load but Strava and my speedometer would not conclude the same thing. Yes, throughout the winter my 40 mile rides were averaging around 18 mph and now I am closer to 19 mph but I have a couple months riding under me and as I said, started riding with the racing teams again and at the end of last year, before taking this stuff, I also had some 19-20 mph rides...Without feeling queasy. Not saying for sure the queasy is from this product for sure but I have only felt this way after being on it for 3+ weeks. They may be onto something with the Echinacia and other vitamins but I doubt this is actually increasing red blood cells and I definitely did not improve twice as much at 4-5 weeks over the 2 weeks where I thought I saw some endurance improvement...If anything, I think I went the opposite direction though my recoveries may still be a little quicker though again, that could just be from post-winter training increases. I do not think I will be trying another bottle. Will stop taking and see if the queasy feeling goes away with the harder efforts, if they do and I don't lose any speed, this may do more harm than good. If I do slow down considerably, perhaps it would be worth giving one more shot but I doubt it.

Horrible Side Effects
Sorry this is long but I hope it helps. I should have taken heed to the reviews that mention "shortness of breath", "dizziness", "headaches" , "elevated heart rate", but the ones that said "it helped my anemia" caught my eye and I went with it. I had blood work done at the end of December and everything was good on my lab reports except hemoglobin and platelet count. My doctor attributed it to being slightly anemic and told me to add more red meat to my diet since I have been lazy about cooking my meat and just eating my husband's vegetarian diet. I started researching ways to help boost my levels "quickly" because I am at the peak of training for a 200k ultramarathon and had previously noticed that I have been struggling moving up hills and feeling tired in general. Figured this was because of the slight anemia and decided to give epoboost a try since it has iron and is supposedly designed as a supplement to help runners train better. I have been taking it for exactly a week since Friday Jan 11 (in addition to being conscious of my diet and making sure I get enough calories/nutrients via myfitnesspal.) I expected to eventually start feeling better due to the increase of good food and these pills, but I feel so much worse! I first noticed I was feeling weird on Tuesday night. During a night run I started feeling panicked and my eyes had trouble adjusting properly to the light, making me dizzy and I felt kinda confused. I normally feel great during night runs. Ever since, all my runs, I feel very OFF...I feel dizzy, nauseous and my heart rate spikes during runs that are normally easy for me. At first, I told myself that this was all a result of the anemia, but after one week of taking the pills and watching my pace and overall running fitness deteriorate, I am also noticing that the side effects are affecting me without even doing anything. As I am typing this, I have shortness of breath, my heart feels like it's beating hard and I feel dizzy and jittery. None of this was occurring before I started taking the pills, it was just the typical training tiredness. And then there were the other weird symptoms coming up during/after my runs. My hands are normally a bit clammy during runs, but lately even with gloves they are going numb and taking a while to get back to normal (the temps have been pretty constant during the cold part of my runs for the past month: between 35 and 45, this week being closer to 45). I also had one morning this week where my butt got so itchy after a run, I scratched it all up pretty good. I have never had either experience before so I can only attribute it to the epo-boost. I looked up the side effects of Echinacea and found: Echinacea can cause minor side effects. These can include an upset stomach, nausea, and dizziness. Serious side effects include allergic reactions such as rash, swelling, and difficulty breathing. I think it's safe to say I am allergic to the echinacea. I plan on taking them up on their 100% guarantee and sending the pills back. Hopefully this does not get worse and I don't make unexpected trips to the hospital as other reviewers stated. I have learned my lesson, nothing can replace a good diet and slow changes.

This stuff actually works.
I was skeptical. I have bradycardia (low heart beat) and hypothyroidism plus anemia after a blood donation. Took a few days and then noticed I just had more energy along with an interest in uh some things I had gotten so tired I forgot about ... I have been taking extra iron to deal with the iron problem and also levothyroxine for the low thyroid but was still exhausted much of the day it seemed no matter how much I was sleeping. I'm taking just 2 per day at lunch. Tried taking an extra one or two at dinner and it just hypes me up too much to sleep correctly. Two per day is plenty enough for me at least
