So basically this just makes it easier to charge so you will not have to keep putting the charging cables on? This will keep it automatically charged?

This accessory makes it way easier to connect the Noco trickle charger to your battery using an easy connector, not the big clips that you have to try to connect to the battery terminals. When I get home, I just open the hood, and connect the trickle charger to this connector, and the battery gets trickle charged, much easier than the clips which can come off when you don't want them to.

Can I use this to charge two 12V batteries in series?

This is an accessory cable with a fuse intended for use with Noco battery chargers. Two 12 volt batteries in series is 24 volts and you would need a 24 volt charger to start with. Then, you need to have NOCO acknowledge whether or not this accessory cable is intended for use with the charger you want to use.
