It's a tried and true cassette adapter. But with bluetooth instead of an aux cable. My kids have never seen such things. I got this to put in an old Walkman I found and fixed up. They still can't believe it works. And I can walk the dogs around town with a walkman on my hip, retro headphones on, and people don't know I'm still listening to Spotify :-D

I was gifted a antique van w/ only cassette this allows me to have quality bluetooth music and navigation from my iPhone. Super great sound! Beats my radio audio all day! The only minor downside is that devilish beep that will startle you at your 5’o clock red light when the cassette it dying. Next model just let it run out of battery haha!

Works good but my car radio doesn't like it

Connecting to Bluetooth was simple. Sound only came out of one side of car speakers. Another reviewer mentioned flipping the tape for better sound quality, but I did not notice a change. If anything it was worse. It took quite a bit of work to get it out of the tape deck. If you put it in on the "reverse" side with the blue light facing in, it can get caught as it's coming out. Had to use a screw driver to lower the tape while it was ejecting to keep it from hitting the top of the opening. Another reviewer suggested opening it up and reassembling it but one of the corner screws is fused to the plastic housing. By the time I got it open everything was loose. Before I started to put it back together I noticed that all of the soldering was separated and it was a lost cause. I purchased the one with the aux cord first and have the same issues. I figured the hassle might be manageable with the Bluetooth version since there are no cables in the way but the connection/sound was worse with the wireless version. Spend your money elsewhere. The price is low, but it's poorly made and it's dangerous to use while driving, (which is it's intended use). To keep the sound clear I had to constantly move it around. Can't get through a single song without issues. I even jammed something in the deck to hold the cassette in place. That worked once, until I had to remove it to get it to play again.

Great product!

This is perfect for my 99 Cherokee that has a factory tape deck still in it. The sound is great, & it connects with no issues. The battery life lasts pretty long as well. My only thing is the charging port could have been positioned differently or even put on a cable that hangs so you could use it while charging, but that's no big deal. Great product overall, & i recommend

The sound doesn't come out as good as I thought as it would if I had an aux output jack in my car. But still okay.

Connections to are reliable and repeatable, range is OK as long range is really not a requirement at least for me, sound quality is good now but wasn’t great to start with. Here is what I mean. The unit is directional meaning that one side must face up. To accomplish this they have cassette wheels and gears inside that lock in the wrong direction and this causes an auto eject. The wheels movement transfers to the head causing noise in the system. I corrected this by removing the gears. Now the sound is great, not full range but good.

On the tape device spray Dry PTFE on the rubber drive & gears to quieten. Calls are still via the phone mic/speaker. To make calls via these tape units get one with a wired mic that hangs out.

I bought it one month ago, everything in the description was the same as I ordered. however, it didn’t work on my Chevrolet suburban 2006 I can connect it with my phone but there is no sound on the speakers and it’s the original boss radio and speakers while radio and cd work but not this tape. I saw on the reviews that someone had this issue I wished I wasn’t the same but I was.
