Surprisingly sturdy!
Easy to put together (follow the video- not the instructions in the box!), and more sturdy than anticipated. My husband had hip surgery and one of his therapy exercises required holding on and doing back kicks. This worked perfectly for him too. As a former dancer, I’m looking forward to 2026 with some very basic ballet moves to get me started on my weight loss journey. This barre is easily portable and the perfect size. I highly recommend!

I'd buy this a thousand times over!
I used to be a member, for 7 years of a Barre Workout. However, the prices kept going up, from $100 per month to $160 and increasing before COVID19. I finally had to break with that studio and have been looking for a replacement. I just found a great Barre workout on a streaming service and a week into it, it became clear, I needed a ballet barre. I checked the internet for options. I decided I didn't want to mount the barre in the wall of my house. So, I searched the internet again and found Booty Kicker Ballet Barre. The price was pretty good compared to the other options. The website was clean, transparent and super easy to watch the videos showing various uses. I went to SmileAmazon and they sold the barre with free shipping because I am a Prime Member and I pulled the trigger and ordered the barre. Within days, the barre box was at my front door with "Booty Kicker" written on the outside :) I thought that was fun. The box is about 22lbs. So, I waited for hubby to move the box into the house. Then he was able to set it up by himself. A few days after he set it up, I received the Email from Booty Kicker that we should watch the set up video. I agree, that is what people need to do. Fortunately, my husband is a mechanic, so, he was able to do the set up based on his skills. The barre has a beautiful solid wood barre, just like the ballet barres you would see at any ballet or barre studio. Check! The frame is nicely painted beige/tan color. The hardware on the wooden bar is shiny nickle coated, and the "feet" (like an "L" angle shape frame) are the same beige/tan-very neutral color. I LOVE the "shark fins" on the back frame where I store my barre weights so nicely and out of the way. The barre is long enough for me to hang my towel/mat on it and use it. If you try to hang or pull sideways on the barre, all crazy, it will move, but that is not what barre workout is about. It is sufficient for ballet & barre workout. Kids climbing & jumping on it, b/c it is not fixed to a wall, will cause it to move. But, hey, it is "portable" so... I love this barre so much, ,and the quality of the product, one of my girlfriends has already purchased one for herself based on my say. And, another girlfriend will probably by one for herself. LOVE this product. Using it almost every day. Consider it totally a GREAT purchase!

One sturdy piece of gear!
I love it. I've been doing barre for 8 years and whoever engineered this equipment got it spot on for barre exercise! The equipment is heavy duty and solid. Nothing is cheap about it - there was absolutely not one iota of give after assembly. The video for assembly was a huge plus; clear, concise instructions in a language I could understand (I read the written instructions before hand but never needed to refer back to them). It's easy to stop the video and replay for validation of whether or not you're assembling it correctly (i.e. enlarge the screen to focus on a particular part). Every single piece fit together the first time - which is also the first for me in self assembly (I'm still in awe). The holes lined up, the screws fit perfectly, even the velcro straps fit around the screws/nuts/bolts EXACTLY. Now, if only the barre exercises were as easy (but then we wouldn't feel the burn)!

Not easy to assemble
Once together, it seems substantial. Putting it together definitely was not easy. I found a YouTube video, which was much better than the video link provided. I had it mostly completed, only to find out that one of the hinged bars had to be taken apart to flip a piece. I’ll need to get heavy hand weights to add to the bottom weight rung, to make it stable for some barre exercises, so that it doesn’t tip.

Nothing to complain about
Took about 10-15 minutes to assemble, and I like that it is collapsible, which is great if you have limited space. Generally sturdy. All the important bits are metal (minus the wooden barre of course) so it’s nice and solids It does get a bit wobbly if you try to twist it around, but that’s not how you’re supposed to use this barre anyhow, so it’s not a big deal. I didn’t realize how much of a difference having a proper barre would make when working out, so I’m glad I made this purchase. Considering I used to pay $130/month for studio classes before lockdown, I’d say this pays for itself, especially if you’re already familiar in barre exercises and don’t need as much adjustment. I didn’t install the banner and the weight shelves, and they’re not necessary for the product’s stability. My only one complain is that to collapse it, you have to pull away the metal pole that holds it up, and it can be a bit difficult if you have weak upper body strength.

Great addition to workouts!
This is a great addition to the workouts I've been doing for years. I like that it is collapsable. When I read reviews, a lot of people said to watch the video to put it together. I'd agree with that. I didn't even use the printed directions; I think it would have frustrated me. The video is 5 minutes, and I used it ever step of the way. Really excited for my barre!

Very nice bar-smooth!
If you put it together correctly it is pretty stable and stays put. I read someone complained about that so I wanted to say that I don’t have that issue. I also don’t put all my weight into it though, trying to push it. It’s a great product! Also easy to fold it up and when you put it back up, the securing ties have grommets to keep it safely from popping out of position when you are using it. Really nice design

Disappointed
Poor assembly instructions. The way the bar attaches to the stand is very poorly designed and not very secure. Cheap and flimsy brackets and screws are provided to attach the bar. There's no bolt on the inside of the stand to go along with the screws so the bar attaches loosely to the stand. Overall, the product looks unstable and cheap.

Assembling the Booty Kicker was a huge challenge. Despite following the instructions, I had to ask for external assistance. A contractor had to address problems with the joints, adding to the overall complexity. The challenging setup process was a significant drawback and I almost returned it. However, once set up, it’s very sturdy and very well designed. I added side weights for stability, and it feels like a true studio experience at home, well worth the effort.

I have MS and my physiotherapist recommended a ballet barre to give me extra safety and stability when doing balance exercises. Many standing exercises I just can't do safely anymore... Until I got the Booty Kicker ballet barre! The barre was pretty easy to assemble, even on my own. Took me maybe 90 minutes though I'm sure someone not battling brain fog and tremors could do it faster. I had a question for the seller (Savvier Fitness) and they responded quickly and were very friendly and helpful. The barre folds up almost flat without the optional weight racks and doesn't take up any space when I'm not using it. The straps used to pull the locking arms into place are strong and even with my muscle weakness I can get it set up to exercise on my own with ease. Once standing and locked in, it's sturdy and I've never worried about falling when using it despite the fact that I'm a 14-16 and I worried about tipping. No need to worry! I am extremely happy with this folding ballet barre and very glad I got it! Highly recommended for anyone who just needs a bit of stability help and "insurance" for their balance while doing standing exercises.

I submitted a complaint that the parts just didn't work. I have not been able to fix it as the measurements were wrong. I am very sure they sent us a defective one and since it wasn't a cheap purchase, I am shocked that no one has reached out to resolve the issue. It has been almost 4 months and the items is still in my home, and taking up space. Very very dissapointed.
