Bought as a present for my 7 year old nephew and I was worried it might be too difficult for him to control but he got the hang of it with no problem. All over Xmas he was asking if the batteries were charged again so he could have another go. Would certainly recommend, and the parcel contained a coupon for some free VR glasses, not sure if they all contain this but it said it was an exclusive offer for Amazon UK customers. The camera is great, and shoots excellent quality videos for the price, build quality felt really good and I’m tempted to buy one for myself. Don't buy this, crashed on first flight!"These people clearly haven't done their research - this is a TOY.This is not a photography drone like DJI gives you, nor a racing/exploration drone you might see with parrot AR.It's under £100/$100.YouTube reviews are positive, that's what sold it foe me. People that know what they're doing with drones, even some making incredible enhancements, pushing the hardware to it's limits.I must admit, I see how people "lose control" of this drone: they fly it too far.In direct view expect it to travel perhaps 25-30 meters without much connection issue, but around a corner at said distance will cause problems, maybe even at close range - be careful.The transever is not very powerful on the drone, I nearly lost it myself during testing!You get what you pay for, you fly it in anymore than 5-10mph winds, expect to lose it.Expect that it'll not stay stationary.Regardless it is nimble, fast and very responsive, I've already bought it a replacement battery set as 350mAh gives this drone maybe 7 minutes of flight per battery, and an hours charge... on a good day, you want to be flying not charging.However... on perhaps my 5th charge the usb cable started melting, this was due to a overcharge caused by a short.This however is not DBpower's fault, you must be careful with what USB plug you use, check the power rating of your usb plugs/ports, it needs to match that of the cable!!On a final good note, it has a nice app interface which you can use First Person View (FPV) and decent photage (pictures & video!).It has a wireless upload to your phone which is superb, however you have to download each video/picture individually, as it seems. It is tedious but this is the only thing I don't quite understand yet... bah, interfaces!!Recommended, but be careful.Do. Your. Research!!! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good first impressions but need to work out some functions yet *by T***K on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 20 April 2019* My 8yr old son was keen to get a drone and we chose this one as it wasn't just a tiny toy yet still seemed to be good for beginners. Putting it together was a little tricky as the instructions were not in a logical order and some bits had already been pre-assembled. Off we went to a local park where it worked like a treat with a battery that lasted a lot longer than we initially expected. As it is a good size and has flashing LEDs it was easy to locate at all times. Unfortunately we lost one propeller guard as the screws that hold it were tine and clearly hadn't gripped well enough. However, it all still works and with a customer service number and email at hand I am sure a replacement can be sources with ease. We haven't tried the camera functions yet but the app is working and the camera is showing pictures when tested "on the ground". We will try that for our next flight to see what the video/picture quality is like.
