I use it for making rice, pasta, soups, warming my coffee, making sauces, boiling eggs, etc. I know that some people order these pots purely for decoration, but that would be a shame - this pot is super functional. When it is full of scalding hot liquids or pasta, the two handles are a must. That is why I prefer to use this pan over my 2.5 qt. saucepan which has one long handle. Because it is so beautiful, I also use this pot as a serving bowl and use Bar Keepers Friend to maintain the polish and shine of the copper. Very easy. Just remember that it is tin lined - so be gentle and keep the flame at medium or med. hi.
