Must have product at workplace
Great product... Sitting for long hours caused sprain on back and we cannot ... With Versadesk, I now stand at regular intervals while working... Completely satisfied with the product...

This is a really great unit. It came well packaged in a box with a carry handle. (I may add, a very heavy box). It fit perfectly on my standard desk. You only have to attach the keyboard, but it all comes with instructions, bolts and an allen key to tighten the bolts. Very easy installation. The Versadesk is very stable. I have my original iMac 27" (from 2009), that weights 32 pounds. I also have a 17" Dell laptop that easily weighs 12 pounds. I also have an iMac 2TB backup drive. These are all located on top of the Versadesk. Pressing the up and down button moves the entire platform with ease. There is also a lot of room on the keyboard platform for a full size keyboard as well as a mouse. I only had one issue where the power supply was damaged. The cover came apart. I called support and they instantly sent me a replacement power supply. So all in all, an excellent product at an excellent price with excellent support.

I bought this versa desk for my work and it is amazing! It also goes well with a gel mat. I love how it can also support 2 screens and how easy it is to go from sitting to standing and vice versa.

I bough several of the VIVO desk riser, and while OK, I wasn't thrilled with it. For my personal use, I wanted to see if the $200 extra is worth it for me to buy this Versadesk....luckily I bought a good as new used desk for $150. I hope to make a fair comparison since not many reviewers here have owned the cheaper risers and the versa desk. What I like: 1. Very good packaging. Very easy assembly. Just 4 thumb screws. No tools needed 2. Thick material...about 50% thicker than the VIVO. 3. Better material...surface is glossy and high quality. Switches are high quality. With the VIVO you get basic MDF surface that has the finish of a cheap closet shelf 4. Much sturdier. Perhaps unfair b/c this is a motorized unit. But it feels and looks much sturdier. What I don't like: though the keyboard tray is sturdier than the VIVO...there's still some flex. The weakness here is that the brackets holding the keyboard is just bent steel. For the price, please reinforce it. I hate bouncy keyboard trays. Summary: when deciding between a $100 and $350 riser, the more expensive Versadesk is obviously much better built, much sturdier. It's also much heavier. Get the VIVO if you are on a budget. It's not as good but works fine. Get the VIVO if you want to save 20lbs of weight. Some of our counters have a hard time handling the versa desk with 2 monitors, etc. Get the VIVO if you don't want another power plug. Get the VIVO if you want rapid up/down adjustment. The motor on the Versadesk is smooth and quiet...but not as fast as manual risers. But for me and for most, you'll the quality of the Versadesk much more reasuring, especially when you have it right next to the VIVO. It's much better, much sturdier. And it's American designed and made :)

I liked how easy it was to assemble, just a few screws and ready to use. I does what I need it to do, which is to stand up and work. However, I wish the keyboard shelf was also adjustable.

For the price of $390, I expected better quality and design. I purchased this motorized standing desk for work. Likely my fault, but the size of the desk I chose did not fit well on top of my semi circular desk. I should have chosen a smaller size but even the smaller size may not have fit all of the items that I needed it to. The Versa desk configurations are limited, so for the shape of my desk, I would have been better off choosing a different brand of desk. The mechanical movement on this desk is another situation entirely. The power button is located on the right-hand side of the desk, so very convenient. However, to say that the movement raising or lowering the desk is smooth, quiet or finessed would be overstating the situation dramatically. I’ve posted a video which shows the raising and lowering of the desk. The raising of the desk is a bit smoother than the lowering of the desk. Lowering the desk sounds to me like the wheels coming down on an airplane for landing. The desk also jiggles and wobbles, making you think twice about a coffee cup riding it out on your motorized desk. Speaking of said cup, if you happen to have a cup or edge of a binder anywhere close to the lowering trajectory and the desk comes down, things get loud and interesting in a hurry. Not for the of faint of heart or those who don’t enjoy the sounds of landing airplanes at LAX.
