Cord Reel Iron with Nonstick Soleplate, ICR16X

This BLACK+DECKER iron works exactly as expected and is very easy to use. The nonstick soleplate glides smoothly over different fabrics, making ironing quicker and more consistent. It heats up fast and produces steady steam, which helps remove wrinkles without needing multiple passes. The cord reel feature is a nice convenience and makes storage much easier after use. Overall, this is a solid iron for everyday household ironing with a simple design and reliable performance.

This is my third of this model iron. I love it. Light weight, which is very important to me, steams well and has a retractable cord. Perfect.

Great for normal use. It's not fancy, but gets the job don well. I also like that it's lighter weight than most irons; but not so lightweight that it barely provides pressure.

Overall I am satisfied with the product even i faced a major problem. The problem was that it stopped working after 35 days. This was a big disappointment because i was over 5 days of my 30 days return time. Amazon refused to accommodate and they asked me to contact the vendor. And contacting the vendor for warranty was another big hassle, after almost 20 calls i was able to take hold of someone who was actually responsible of handling warranty claims. At first she asked me to pay $12 as delivery charges for a $19 Iron but then she realized it is not fair so she sent replacement of my iron in warranty free of cost. Masha Allah, it is working fine since then. Update: The Iron again gone bad at the end of December 2023. Since it was in the warranty so i contacted them again for the warranty claim. They accepted the claim and like the last time they asked to pay delivery charges but after the same argument they waived off the delivery charges. Since it has gone bad two times during the warranty so the quality is not so good. The edge is it is under warranty so got it replaced. Now Overall i am not satisfied with the performance/ quality. Suggestion: Simplify your warranty procedure.

Pros: The cable cord is retractable which I loved since save you space and helps to keep it better while you storage it. Cons: The vapor does not come out like in a good way when you use it vertically or maybe is just my expectation, also you cannot even fill it up until the maximum level indicated since the water drops out of the iron, it needs to be lower than the maximum level.

I've had two of these, one replaced under warranty because like many others have experienced, the auto clean button just pops off and the leaks everywhere. First iron failed in six months and the replacement just failed again with the same problem. Add on to that the sole plate which overheats and burns and the translucent water tank, which mystifyingly someone thought was a good idea to make so dark that you cannot even see the water level, and you have essential planned obsolescence. My old Panasonic iron lasted 20 years. Black and Decker brand is just cheap, disposable junk now.
