My childhood dreams come true
NVG - Night Vision Goggles This model of NVG is amazingly cheap for what it's capable of. It is one of the only head mounted NVG's that have a 1x zoom, making them usable on foot while traversing an area. They also have a zoom function, but I personally find it nauseating because I suffer from motion sickness. (The NVG in general use does not trigger my motion sickness, don't be put off if you suffer from motion sickness too) The battery life on this NVG is exceedingly long, It's never ran out for me while using it, and I charge it once every week, with fairly frequent use. This is a very cool device to show your friends, and by far the best choice for this price. It has 7 IR levels, the seventh being the most visible. Also has brightness settings, which for some reason can be combined with IR 2 on max brightness to make it look like it's on IR 7. Battery saving tip, I suppose. Now, for the downsides. The only downsides that I have found after a couple months of use is the screen fogging up, and worst of all, the part you put your eyes on is extremely uncomfortable. It's a quick fix though, all you need to do is get a knife and shape it to your face shape. Without doing that, it'll dig into your forehead and cause great discomfort, well it did for me at least. In conclusion, I am extremely happy with this NVG and I would happily buy it again.

Good gear for the price.
This is a good piece of kit for the asking price. The original field of view is somewhat limited so I have adapted the unit with a fish eye lens which produces a far wider field of view. The IR on this unit gives a fairly noticeable red glow, however this can be reduced by using an external source instead. Battery life is reduced because of the LCD screen, but is still good and usable. Overall, a nice unit on a budget.

After sales service
Nightfox are a great example why wherever possible you should buy British. Small problem all sorted out with an email. Not the case with some suppliers. Highly recommend this company not just for their after sales service but a nice piece of kit for the money. Kevin

Not good for someone who wears glasses.
For me personally the product was ok for the price but I wear glasses and I could not get a good focus on the focus wheel for me to see through the goggles. I expect the goggles are good for someone who does not wear glasses or someone wears contact lenses.

Se ve de lujo, la imagen se ve muy bien y tiene un buen zoom. Los acabados se ven de buena calidad. Muy bien para el precio que tiene.

For its price point these goggles are a great bit of kit. Takes a bit of getting used to if you are using them to walk around but once you do they are a great tool. Recommend A+

I will say, this is the best night vision to me only because I've never owned night vision. The goggles are rugged, durable, and easy to use. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who is just getting into tacticool gear but isn't willing to spend thousands of dollars to see at night. However that's not to say it's without its problems, here is a list of some pros and cons: Pros: -Cheap, cheap is good -It's durable and sturdy (the NOD itself) -It's simple for beginners -Pretty long battery life when off (mine has held a full charge for about a week) Cons: -The headband mount it comes with is quite bad and uncomfortable to wear, and the plastic mounting plate is of questionable quality -the rubber eye piece can be hard to deal with if you have the wrong head or helmet shape -the screen glows pretty bright and the two IR illuminators glow red, making you pretty visible -the IR illuminators have a pretty limited range That was the end of my review, what's next is the modifications I made in order to make the device usable: I don't have the money for a ballistic helmet, nor do I want to downgrade protection to get a bump helmet. That is why I put the device on my M1 Steel Pot helmet. I simply extended the head-strap to fit the M1 (it was just barely too small) and secured it on with camo duct tape. It mounted sturdy enough, however the rubber eye piece would fold down and block my vision whenever I tried to move the device over my eyes. The rubber also blocked my peripheral vision, so I was tripping like the idiot I am. The seller was nice enough to tell me just to unscrew the 6 screws holding the goggles together and take the rubber out. I removed secured the glass plate that rests in the rubber guard back to the goggles with gorilla tape and a layer of more camo duct tape over it. Now the only downside to this modification is that, the durability may go down a bit when you replace components with tape, and the light from the screen is more visible in the night, and your face/eyes are pretty lit up. I don't see the eyes lit up as a totally bad thing, since the IR illuminator already gave off a visible red light. From this modification, you get your peripheral vision back, and can mount it on pretty much any helmet with enough tape!
