The legs are fine-furniture quality, and the cast iron base that support everything is soled and heavy. I put the whole thing together myself, although I do not recommend it and neither does the company. You should have two people attach the TV to the base once the back bracket has been attached o the TV. It was relatively easy to assemble, however, and it has been working beautifully ever since. The base swivels or turns 180 degrees in either direction, allowing me to watch TV in my living, room, or from my desk or my dining room,.
