2013 Silverado 5.3L. I had always noticed a slight stutter in the engine. The check engine light was intermittent. It was consuming oil. And recently, in the mountains, it wasn't shifting smoothly and was lagging. Did some research. All those issues were common to the AFM. I took a chance and got this. Just plug and play. So easy. Immediate smoothing of the engine and better power. In a couple days the check engine light went off and stayed off. The other day, hubby took it off, and said the truck ran so bad he put it right back on. Now he sees it too. He said he didn't see much difference, but he does now that he drove it with it running good. Absolutely recommend.

Works well on the 2016 GMC Sierra 1500 I just bought. Keeps the truck in V8 mode at all times. It definitely improves the truck’s performance. I haven’t owned the device long enough to know if it drains the battery if left plugged in, but I’m also not leaving it in overnight to learn either.

I have a 2013 Silverado with the 5.3. It has that fuel management system where it cuts off combustion to cylinders when you're in cruising gear at cruising speed.. over time that system will fail. I bought this to bypass that feature. Plugged it into my truck June of 2024 and I have not had a problem since. my system had not failed yet. My check engine light would come on periodically so I would gun the motor up and down the freeway and I saw that problem but it was temporary. Then i bought the Ranger. The Ranger solved it for me permanently AS LONG AS IT IS PLUGGED IN to the vehicle. Fantastic investment

I have done multiple DOD deletes and if you cannot afford to do one immediately then I recommend buying this! (IT WILL NOT FIX DAMAGE ALREADY DONE!) it will help prevent what will eventually happen down the line. So if you haven’t gotten it yet, get it! Do not buy a different brand they’ll cause electrical issues and other goofy stuff, spend the money on this one. Super easy to install, plug and play no messing around. It’s super cheap insurance to have. Doesn’t “tune” or “add power” just locks in the AFM to v8 mode or v6 mode (depending on application)so it’s not shutting off cylinders. It’s a great cheap product to hold off the inevitable a little longer.

At this time unit is doing as described reason for no 5 star I've only had it a couple days and the price is a little expensive.

WOW! WORKS GREAT! Tahoe 2018... A very smart chip in this. At idle...now very very smooth. No hesitation. V8 All the time. 3 MPG Better gas mileage! I had the cheaper BLUE LED one at $89...that was ok...not as smart...and that one failed in 6 months (made in china). That caused the computer system to go nuts! Gauges all over the place, and not starting. Unplugged that POS, all was normal original 8/4...but I ordered this RED LED product next day. More $$, SO WHAT? At just under $200.. Super product. Much better...like having a new engine!😉🎯❣❣❣

I love the afm delete, I have been running it on my 2016 Sierra 5.3 6 speed for the last 3000km and never had a hitch so far with engine lights or codes... Etc. It disables v4 mode all together and let's you're V8 stay a V8. Another thing I like is no light stays on when the vehicle is turned off only when it's running and it's hardly noticeable. Also I find the truck shifts better between gears no more drone from the v4

I wish I had seen this item before. My 2015 Sierra has always shifted poorly, shuddering and lagging as well as banging hard into 2nd. Shifting between 4 and 8 cylinders was starting to become more noticeable. The truck does have 220000k on it, so some wear and tear is expected. After adding this module shifting became smoother and more responsive with little change in mileage. So happy with the outcome.

Works exactly as advertised, truck is smoother and more quiet.👍👍.
