Great starter sewing machine
I bought this for my 7 year old granddaughter for Christmas. This is the perfect starter sewing machine. It is small in size and has several different stitches to choose from. It works great. She is so excited to start sewing projects. 11/14/17 After using the sewing machine only a couple of times the foot pedal no longer worked. She could still use the machine with the lever but that didn’t work very well to stop quickly. While using the needle stopped picking up the thread, couldn’t stop quickly enough & thread got all bunched up in bobbin. Couldn’t get it to work after that. I contacted the seller & they sent out a new one right away! This seller is very easy to work with.

WORKS GREAT, once I figured a few things out!
There was some trouble shooting that I had to work thru. I kept putting in the bobbin backwards, as all my other machines I have had go in the opposite direction! I also flipped over the plastic piece that thread sits on, on the spindle. Because the tread kept breaking, as it has a piece of styrofoam on it that did not allow some of the spools to spin freely. Once I got these bugs worked out, IT WORKS LIKE A CHARM. I have had the machine for about 3 YEARS NOW. I love it, it works great for simple sewing projects! I work at home for an insurance company as an internal helpline. Sometimes I have 15-20 min between calls. During this time I sew with this machine. When I get a call, I just lift it out of the way with one hand. I recently had to take it a part to clean it, I lost the plastic cover that goes over the bobbin and the 2 screws. I cut a cover to fit, out of an old credit card, works great! It still sews with out the 2 screws, but wish I could get replacements! I love this little machine it is so convenient. I have sewn about 100 projects with this machine! A lot of baby blankets and burp clothes!

TERRIBLE MACHINE! DON’T WASTE YOUR MONEY!
I wouldn’t give this thing One star if ZERO was an option. Ordered the First one as a Christmas gift. We tested it and no matter how much we tried to adjust it, the thread just kept tangling underneath. I returned it and tried a SECOND One. THIS ONE SEWED BYSELF FOLKS! Every time I trimmed it on, it just took off Sewing! EXTREMELY DANGEROUS!! They go by the sale of the First purchase date, so a refund wasn’t an option. I messaged, but got No Reply. So it’s MONEY DOWN THE DRAIN. 🤬🤬🤬

Sturdy machine, great for beginners.
This little sewing machine is great for beginners. My 7 year old daughter is learning and it's perfect for her. I have a big fancy digital that is simply too overwhelming to teach with. So far we have not had any issues with the one; However, I did not give 5 stars for these reasons: 1. The instruction pamphlet leaves a lot to be desired. If you didn't already have basic knowledge on how to sew I doubt you would find much help from the pamphlet, specifically with threading the upper thread. 2. Most of the machine is plastic. I would have liked to have seen at least some metal for the thread holder and bobbin winder. 3. The way it is made you have to actually put the thread through holes when threading the machine rather than being able to easily slide it behind or through. Hard to explain but for example: once done running the main thread through the machine most machines have a small catch right above the needle, this machine has an actual hole that it has to go through and it can be difficult if you don't have child size hands. 4. Rather than having speed settings for the foot petal is has 3 settings: foot petal, then low and high in which the machine sews without pressing the petal. I really hate this feature. It's dangerous. 5. Lastly, the knob to change stitches is very difficult to turn. My daughter is not able to do it, so I have to do it for her. What I do absolutely love about this machine is the battery compartment for on the go sewing. Very neat feature. Overall, for a beginner, this is a solid machine. It's great for teaching/learning on and for the price it can't be beat. I'm a bit concerned about replacement needles. They seem to be a different size, not universal. It comes with extras but they will only work on cotton. I wouldn't use them on delicate fabrics or bulkier such as blue jean. I will test the machine with some of my other needles and update my review with the findings.

Great travel machine
For what this machine is and what its worth, I thought it was a great deal. I had to go out of town for a week and didnt want to stop some of my projects for my etsy business, nor did I want to take my very expensive machine on a flight with the fear of the bag may be checked in and thrown around in the baggage area. Pros: light weight, can use any thread, although I do recommend finding skinnier spools of thread so that it can fit on the thread holder. I used the first four stitches, they worked wonderful. Machine has an auto option (button next to the ruler) I found that to be very useful. Bobbin works great, although I was kinda freaking out at first when winding a bobbin, the presser foot cannot be shut off while winding a bobbin, it goes with it.... which is expected from this very inexpensive machine. LED light was great. Reverse was great. I was sewing four layers of non pill fleece here and there - thick layers were easy to sew. Small presser foot is awesome to get in the small details of finishing your projects. CONS: not very universal needle friendly, I reccomend buying needles and using needles close to what the machine comes with. The foot pedal is really small and kinda hard to press. This machine has be in a certain position when ready to sew, or you will have to keep re threading, due to moving the machine and lose of thread in the process.. if that makes sense. This machine is indefinably a lot slower than my brother machine. great beginner machine, great for travel and if you have a kid who is interested in learning how to sew, this machine is perfect!

My granddaughter is 9 and wanted to learn to sew. I bought this at Xmas and have just been able to use it with her. She loves it and overall it is pretty good. Just not sure if it can handle thicker material. The only complaint I have yet is that the leaver to life the presser foot is plastic and I am concerned it will break off. But so far, it is great.

This machine has excellent video instructions and I was able to thread the machine, wind the bobbins, and sew materials together. The only negative was not being able to sew thick fabrics together - not the fault of the machine, it fully discloses that prior to purchasing. Overall, good product, great price, and enjoyable experience. For hemming, mending, sewing projects with most materials, this will do the job.
