We did things a little backwards here because we purchased the video game first and loved it so much, so we bought the soundtrack. This has been a huge hit with my son and by the time we actually saw the movie, he was able to sing along to the credit scroll at the end. It's a great movie, soundtrack and video game. Just be warned... The title song will get stuck in your head! :)

You get the physical disc with all the music from the Lego Movie PLUS Amazon is kind enough to provide a free digital version for those that like instant gratification and can't wait for delivery. The best of both worlds! In addition to getting all the tracks heard from the movie (every single one, even the background themes) you get some bonus tracks that include a few variations of the one song that made everyone want to buy this in the first place - Everything is Awesome (even an instrumental version to sing to)! I highly recommend listening to track 27 which is the full version of the song that Batman sings (the part shown in the movie is only an excerpt).

Dont let the haters fool you. The everything is awesome song from the movie is on here; both versions are: the one from the montage during the film and the credits version. The people who are complaining that it devolves into rap: yea, it did that in the movie to. Just remember in the film that song gets restarted a couple of times so what you were hearing is really the beginning more than once. My only complaint is the batman song; its technically identical to whats in the movie. Unfortunately in the movie its kind of a short song and I was hoping this would have more verses. (not that I have any right to hold that against the song; it was written to be that length for that section of the film and they didnt have any reason to make a longer version so they didnt)

The four versions of the totally awesome song "Everything is Awesome" are great. But the Tegan and Sara version is the best. The rest of the music is the score played throughout the film. Sadly Batman's song seems to just get cut off. It is like that in the movie but I had hoped the CD would have been more polished. But still awesome music from an awesome film.

Great Boy Music! There's so many albums of music out there that little girls love. This one is for the boys in our house! Although my daughters love it as well. I'm glad I bought it. I have a little boy who builds with legos every day, so this album was the hit of his birthday party.

I was euphoric after seeing this amazing movie with my kids...so I got this album when I got home. The main song and the various remixes.....very fun. Kids and I love dancing and fooling around to the music. The subversive happy "unplugged" version is also amazing...yet disturbing underneath it all. Great! And the "Pièce de résistance" (aka Piece or resistance" :-) has to be the Batman song...it is real music and very very important. But the rest of the tracks....background movie score stuff. Boring. Recommendation: Buy three or four of the singles and save a few bucks. TLDR: Three or four awesome songs. And a bunch of filler. But don't worry, everything is awesome!

While I forced myself to not listen to this soundtrack prior to seeing the movie, after I saw the movie I felt the music couldn't fit any better. The original scores, combined with other music produced a phenomenal way to get work done during the day. Highly recommended for anyone who enjoyed, and continues to enjoy the movie and music.

There are several versions of Everything is Awesome...my new ringtone ;) but my son wanted it for will arnet's batman song. There are some instrumentals that I didn't think we needed but I'm not a 12 year old boy and he insisted on them all. You might want to listen to samples and just pick the songs you like best but your kids might think differently! Lego Movie fans will love it.
