UGH. I’d pay double for made in the USA. **Q: is it good for small bamboo?** A: If you meant to type "babies", yes. It's soft and has bristles on two opposing sides to help their little uncoordinated hands do the job. **Q: Do I put anything on it ?** A: Yes, we put toothpaste for babies on both sides. This toothbrush is great. My granddaughter really didn’t like brushing her teeth and this toothbrush makes it so much easier to brush. You can brush the top and bottom at the same time! **Q: this looks like it can be used for the bottom portion of the teeth. how would it work for the teeth sides? will bristles rub against cheek sides?** A: Probably.... it does have brushes to brush top and bottom teeth at the same time. This didn’t seem to bother my son who was 1 years old when we tried it, he chewed on the toothbrush a lot so I thought this might be easier. Unfortunately for us, it didn’t work as I had hoped.
