For the price , 499.00 on average, the quality of the binoculars are very hard to beat, titanium body, rubber type coating, quality glass & coating from Japan, not China. As described the clarity edge to edge, locking finger wheel, material of construction etc are found on binoculars costing hundreds more and may not be comparable. If you want a unit with a higher brand with the same material etc pay more & go for it. A lifetime warranty and replacement parts under normal use without even a registration requirement is amazing! The outer box is high quality, who needs it ? The soft case is not vg , the company should rethink this. The neck strap attachment to body of binocular needs improvement, ok once in place . They are quality yet not light to carry around neck, a better padded strap my help, certainly a body strap, really no different then comparable units & better because of lighter and stronger titanium body (a more costly build. It's a 5 Star, I'm not rating a case, or should it be considered in my opinion.

Absolutely.The clearest binoculars i've ever looked through. Amazing price point for u h d. Highly recommend

They are clear and have a flat field of view to the edge ,the only gripe is the eyecups don’t stay up and your always having to adjust them. So in short they are probably going back just for that reason, other than that they would compare to elite glass.

These binoculars definitely punch way above their price. I would buy these over some of the more expensive options out there. These binoculars even work well when the sun is setting and dusk sets in. My wife is super happy with these as she loves to watch birds and other wildlife on our land. One of the Best Buy’s I have made.

Have had a couple of pair of Nikon binoculars for many years which we're ok. But with older age and wearing glasses and the aftermath of a retinal detachment, I was looking for something better for my situation. These Cronus bins are amazing. They are very sharp even to the edge and capture a lot of light and so are good in the early morning and later in the evening. The eye relief is 19.5mm and THAT is the best thing for this eye glass wearer. In the past I had to take my glasses off to see decently, but with these Cronus, I see very well with my glasses on and that was my goal. You have to keep an eye on the pricing on Amazon. They started at $480 and went down every three or four days, and I wound up getting them for an amazing $390! My wife and I are very happy with this purchase.

Great value bought mine on sale for $349 on amazon. Image is great, eyebox is a bit picky you will get some kidney beans on there. My problem is a personal one my eyes are in between 2 diopter adjustments so could never get focus perfect for myself so i returned them. Never tested them in low light so cant comment there.

Update: Correct item received. Optics are incredible at this price point. Will do long term review later. Old review: Ordered the Cronus 10x42 here and was sent the Argos 10x42 instead. Processed the return and was sent the Argos again instead of the correct order of Cronus 10x42 binos. Now I know this could be the mistake of an Amazon employee since these are stocked by Amazon fulfilment, but it is also possible Athlon sent a mislabeled bin to Amazon. Second return would only process as a refund. Waiting for seller to remedy this issue and send me the correct Cronus binos. Will revise my review once this is corrected. Emailed them two days ago and have not gotten a reply. Probably out in the field.

I have had many different bino’s over the years. These Cronus are by far the best under 500. These are absolutely better than Vortex Viper. For under 1000 these rank pretty well. Zeiss conquest are still the best under 1k. Check out Backwoods Pursuit on YouTube and see the review for yourself. I have bought and sold bino’s for years not wanting to follow the advice to get the best. In the end i now have Swaro EL’s and would have saved ALOT of money if i just bought them in the beginning. DONT cheap out on glass. These will work fine till you can upgrade to Alpha glass.

Overall these are very good mid range general purpose/bird watching binoculars worthy of being on your shortlist.Keep an eye on the pricing though.10x42 or 8x42 is generally a good choice for binoculars. They seem very well made overall and optically these really are impressive,you won’t be disappointed.My only disappointment is the eye relief is less than expected,I cant get a full field of view wearing my (rather thick lensed) glasses — maybe 80-90% view,having said that I’m glad I bought them.I’ve (rather harshly) deducted one star for the shorter than advertised eye relief which is very important to me personally and the possibly relatively high pricing. My advice is put them on your shortlist of other similar priced binoculars,there are so many to choose from including Viking/Hawke etc,I honestly couldn’t say whether or not these are the best value but they are very very nice indeed. 👍
