Can you please recommend a fast flight string for this?

It comes with a functional string. I am not sure fast flight will offer any noticeable improvement of performance. Bow strings are easy to make, and there are plenty of instructional videos.

Is there a preferred orientation of the limb? Which side of the arm is on top and which one is on the bottom when compared to the American recurve?
