Improperly sized mini USB terminal

The little terminal connection in the mini USB is larger than standard size Mini USB connectors meaning some cables will not connect into it unless they have a larger than standard opening for this little connector. See photo for side by side comparison with a gopro hero 3 mini usb connector. I have a cable that will fit the gopro just fine, but will not fit this adapter due to the enlarged center block.

male end is extremely long

The male end of the port sticks out so much that it renders it useless for a dash cam, or any port where there is any type of tension that causes it to wiggle around.
