I have to admit that I'm surprised at the knowledge and wisdom that emanates from the RZA. I read this book in a very casual manner for a light read. By the time I reached the quarter point of the book, I found more enjoyment by reading a couple of pages at a time because I enjoyed the depth of his insights and stories. The read is short and simple, but RZA provides sharp reminders of inspiration, solid nuggets of information, and a vast knowledge of how loose partnerships may develop powerful alliances and empower visions. I dig this dude...We're blessed to have him on the planet. For business inspiration, here's a good and gritty example of how to build a team. The development of his artistry is a solid entrepreneur case study. RZA built the Wu-Tang clan by allowing the individual talents that he gathered to breathe. RZA allowed skills to bloom within the development of the Wu-Tang Clan, and he fully understands how the powers of independency generates the heartbeat of a team. RZA digs deep within himself to find the drive, create, and while allowing for flexiblity in the individual's voice to channel energy and implement a vision. Now, that's a leader. For spirituality, I'm amazed at the depth that RZA brings to life and his search for wisdom. RZA's belief that we are all potential and the incarnation of love is built upon the foundation that we are all one. How can you not jump on board to absorb the knowlege and join the adventure? The abilities to spin his beliefs through the cultural studies of life and sciences such as the 5 elements, music, 5 Percent Islam, team-building, comic books, chess, and martial arts flicks are true jewels for mankind. Here's to the art of listening and the absorbing knowledge to generate self-awareness and wisdom. Release all fears and experience the pillars of hope, God, enlightenment, Wu, Earth, Water, Metal, Wood, Fire, Shaolin, knowlege, and wisdom. Peace, BD Review: Knowledge, Wisdom, Understanding to help you achieve Freedom, Justice, Equality, Food-Clothing and Shelter. - I read this book in just under a day. It's an extremely easy read that will be over far too soon, yet will reverberate deep within you. RZA has shown himself to be a soul among the greats, with an ability to express the inexpressible and 'eff' the ineffable alongside such greats as Miyamato Musashi and Sun Tzu. This book will appeal to people from many diverse backgrounds. Martial artists will understand the layers of expression which he uses and the understandings which he has attained from his initial Kung-fu fanboy days and his present training. Students of Asian philosophy (especially Zen) will understand his references as well, and will delight in the slightly modified translation of the Heart Sutra near the end. Anyone who has an understanding of the teachings of NGE and the Nation of Islam will be able to appreciate his understanding of the Twelve Jewels. What I'm trying to say is- this book has something for a LARGE audience, and it deserves to become a modern-day classic. I will be recommending it to all of my students alongside 'Go Rin no Sho' and 'The Art of War' (I'm a martial arts instructor). Witty Unpredictable Talent, indeed. This book will truly take you by surprise, and will truly show the intimate depths of the man's heart. I've loved watching the RZA's progress over the past (nearly two!) decades, and the man continues to be an inspiration. On behalf of everyone who is trying to make a change for the better in this world, I humbly thank him for this work.

A Great Book Combination of Storytelling and Philosophy
RZA gives us a little bit of the Wu history, much of his own personal history, and plenty of deep, religious, life lessons that reveal even more about who he is. I couldn't put the Tao down, as it is written well and gave me much to think about in my own life. The Tao of Wu is probably one of the best books that I have found to explain the logic of the Kingdom of Gods and Earths aka The 5% nation, and made my skepticism subside since I was once a cynic due to so many acts out of New York being about it. Who knew that RZA had so much going on? And who knew that he was so close to the members of the Wu prior to them dropping 36 Chambers and changing the Hip Hop landscape. So much of this was written from the heart that I felt like the man was next to me telling me the stories. I would highly recommend this book to fans of Wutang, or anyone interested in theology from an unbiased place. It is a book I intend to reread the next time that I find myself in a negative place.

Awesome
After watching Wutang an American Saga on Hulu, I was interested in learning more about the members of the group. RZA was the most intriguing character and after learning he authored a book I knew I had to get my hands on it to hear more about what goes on in his head and his perspective on various topics. He is such a deep thinker and closely observes and analyzes life and all of its experiences. This book is definitely a real treat!

A must Read. A new perspective on Life in general through meditation and understanding.
If you would like to learn about one of the few Great Pioneers of Hip Hop and understand how one of the greatest groups have come to be then this book is for you. It gives great insight on the story of the founder of the Wu tang Clan, the RZA. It takes you into a different perspective on meditation, how one can begin to find love for him/ herself and how to appreciate the world around them. I have read this book 4 times prior, allowed someone to borrow it, never got it back, then bought it again. I am on my 5th time reading it. the only reason for that is because I stopped reading for a good while. This book gives you great thirst for knowledge and is an amazing gate way to reading other amazing books. Geovanni A IG: Saturn9_ Twitter: SVTERN9
