Great product, great company.
I purchased this French press last year and, over time, had been noticing grounds sneak into my coffee cup, to the point where I was pulling grounds out every day. I recently contacted the company and they immediately sent a newly designed press that has eliminated this problem. In fact, as I drink my coffee right now, there is not a single ground in it. This beats pulling grounds out every morning, especially when company is in town. Mostly, I am impressed with the owner, Tania, who immediately responded and sent the new press. In terms of other details: I like the way the French press looks, as it is sleek and matches my kitchen, which has white accents. The handle is ergonomic. The rubber bottom keeps it from sliding on the counter top. I did make a wrap to fit around it to help keep some of the heat in because, like many presses, it does lose heat (but I tend to drink coffee throughout the morning, so this would naturally happen). Overall, I think this is a great product and the family who owns this business is doing good work. Thank you! :)

Solid. Makes a great cup of coffee.
We had previously purchased two Bodum 8 cup french press carafes, about a year apart. Both times, we cracked the glass of the carafe, necessitating a replacement. Determined not to break another one, I started looking at Bodum's stainless steel press, but WHOA, it's pricey. One of the reviewers recommended trying Bonne Vie's ceramic french press. I'm SO GLAD THEY DID. Bonne Vie's ceramic french press is awesome. It feels GOOD to clean it, not like you're about to shatter the glass everywhere if you happen to clink it against the faucet. It's the same size (8 cups) as our prior glass Bodum, but it actually seems to produce a little more coffee. The plastic press part is a little cheap feeling, but it does its job just fine. In fact, the two press/plungers we have left over from our two broken Bodums seem to fit this, so BONUS PARTS. I wish we had bought this one to begin with.

Great alternative to glass or steel presses!
This is a really nice french press! It is not without some flaws, but overall, it's a nice design. Until my beloved Bunn single-cup brewer started having valve issues, I hadn't used a french press except while camping. That said, I do love the simplicity of a french press for making coffee -- it makes a wonderful cup! Prior to purchasing this press, I was using a glass one that had a plunger that could be disassembled for cleaning. If I could complain about anything with this press, it is the plunger assembly. Even coarse grinds work their way in between the mesh and the metal frame that the mesh filter is wrapped to. It takes some clever scrubbing with a brush to work these grinds out, but once I do, everything's fine. The plunger assembly is rather flimsy feeling, but so far after almost a week of use, it seems to be holding up better than expected. I have yet to find a grind of coffee in my cup. I press the plunger down very slowly, even if there isn't a lot of resistance along the way. I love the ceramic portion of this press. It's beautiful (white and all), and most importantly, it does a phenomenal job of keeping my coffee warmer than my glass press. I drink 2 small (10-12 ounce) cups of coffee every morning, and with my glass press, my second cup was always barely lukewarm. With this press, it's still nicely warm (not hot), which is perfect because I drink my coffee black. I wish the lid of this unit was something other than plastic, but it does the job. The rubber ring on the bottom of the press is a very nice, thoughtful touch (sometimes too nice -- it's hard to spin this thing around on the table without picking it up!). Pros: Ceramic holds heat really well, and makes for a thick, sturdy device that looks beautiful & functions well. Holds a nice amount of coffee (good for larger amounts and smaller). Cons: Plunger/filter assembly design needs some thought. It's hard to get all of the grinds that work their way in between the mesh & the metal frame on the bottom. Lid fit is loose, but still functions perfectly. All in all, I like this press a lot and am now using it daily!

I purchased this item earlier this year but finally got around to using it and am not all that impressed. The ceramic container is of excellent quality and holds the liquid cold or hot for a very long time. I really like this. However, the pressing instrument does not fit that well inside the ceramic, which does not build much pressure to press the coffee and lets quite a bit of grounds into the actually coffee. I'm not sure if I just have a bad one or what, but it is not that effective.

Great way to start your day!
I am very pleased with this French Press. I have used it several times and everyone enjoys the flavour when I use 6 level table spoons of coffee. If it's just for me I'll throw 7 tbsp in as I like it a bit stronger. In 5 minutes I have my coffee (30 sec to bloom, 4 min to brew and 30 sec to press). I really like the design of the pot with the special reservoir for the grinds The ceramic pot holds the heat longer than the glass presses I've used. I selected this press for the following: It was an Amazon Choice product; It was a great price comparatively; Ceramic vs glass; and the lifetime warranty. Lastly, I haven't needed customer service but they have been very attentive in sending emails making sure I received the product and that I have been satisfied with it so far. Furthermore they reminded me that if I have any issue at anytime I simply need to contact them and they will take care of it due to the lifetime warranty. Hope I never need to rely on it but comforting to know I have it.

Not worth $12
I prefer a French Coffee Press and have owned four or five of them over the years. I needed a new one and saw this one on Amazon on Cyber Monday. It claimed to be regularly $35 and was marked down to $12 as a special. I didn't quite believe the price difference was accurate, but I also didn't expect a coffee press that worked so poorly that it was worth less than $12. The plunger is very cheaply made with a poor quality screen and two poor fitting pieces of metal on either side of the screen. The lid also is poorly fitting. The ceramic has a good weight to it and this makes it sturdy. However, like others have mentioned, the two dimples on the inside, where the handle is attached, gives the coffee grounds an excellent place to escape into the brewed coffee. When pouring I have to strain the coffee through a tea strainer not to have coffee grounds filling my coffee cup. I never thought it would be worth $35, but I expected it to be worth at least $12.

Exactly What I Wanted!
This is a wonderful little 2-cup (large mug, actually) coffee press. I love the ceramic carafe and that the rubber bit at the bottom ensures this thing Will. Not. Slip. The press works smoothly, both to press the grounds and to remove the filter. It is so easy to clean/rinse out. My only "quibble" is that it is difficult to see where the opening in the lid is for pouring. I solved that by putting a little dot on the lid over the opening; problem solved! If you like pretty and easy to use coffee presses - I can't recommend this one enough. Very nice indeed!

Best French Press Ever!
A friend of mine has one of these and during a week long camping trip we shared, she made and shared coffee with it. She gave me the information and I bought on. I am more than delighted with this product. It is very well made; ceramic instead of plastic, which means the taste is pure when you drink it. The construction is superior. It is easily put together so that is very simple to use. It even has easy to understand directions on it's use and a recipe for your coffee. I am absolutely tickled pink with it and plan to buy some for Solstice gifts in December. The customer service department is also outstanding. They touch base with you to see if you have any questions and ask you what you think of the product. I wish ever company conducted business in this manner. I am an exceptionally satisfied customer and can't recommend the product highly enough.
