Heavy-Duty Overhead Crane 933-3150 HO Scale Model Railroad - Structure Kit

Got this Crane for a Steel Rolling Mill Building to Model on my HO Model Railroad layout. My Father was a Bethlehem Steel Craneman in a Rolling Mill for 40yrs. Walthers does make a building. For this exact Crane I Looked in the Walthers 2024 Book & Walthers Cornerstone does have the exact building for the crane. Some people say the building is NOT Available for the Crane but you need to get. Walthers building Kit #933-2970. It's a Railroad Shop Building BUT the interior of the building kit has the supports. For the Crane I had to modify & Kit bash a few things to make it look like a Steel Rolling Mill SHOP. & I left the roof removable to see the inside details.

Just what I needed for my industries on my layout. Good to go.

It brought back the memories.

There was slight warpage in the plastic, which I had to heat up to straighten out and gluing certain items were difficult to keep in a symmetrical format due to No indentions and some key places

Instructions were absolutely horrible the parts didn’t fit well. Very disappointing coming from Walthers who usually has great products.

Most of the Walther's kits are great, but there's not much to this one for the money. Also note that although Amazon lists this as often bought with the powerhouse and powerhouse interior kits, this is not the right crane; in fact, it's twice as big. I'm still trying to figure out what the crane is in that interior picture.

Main beams are warped so no good. Right to the trash

Cheap, do not buy.

Also used near rolling mill layout.

This is a toy not a detailed model kit . One of the poorest kits I have ever purchased. I have bitten the bullet and bined it. Absolute junk.
