This was an exact duplicate of my Franklin Electric control box. The wiring was the same and I only had to replace the cover and everything worked perfectly.

5 stars so far. Just installed and it appears to be a perfect replacement for my old CentriPro CB15412CR, which blew a capacitor. And... was delivered next day, which was the bonus, since locally 1.5 HP boxes are scarce and much more expensive. Time will tell how well this holds up, as I see the concerns some have shared, but those could be from other issues that caused their initial problem, who knows. If it dies too soon, I will update this review, but satisfied for now since we have water....

Why did you pick this product vs others?: Had problems with water cutting out and gargaling thought it was tank tested good changed capacitor on old control box no change couldn't find replacement relay installed this with just a cover replacement to old control box no wiring at all and preasure switch fixed all the problems I'm inclined to think it was relay as pressure switch seemed to function fine and had issues after power outage but either way direct cover swap for old and works perfectly issues fixed

I just replaced our old Franklin Electric well pump control box that rusted out after more than twenty years with this new one from Red Lion. The wires on the old box were photographed before removal and their placement was duplicated on this new box. I removed the plastic piece with the five screws labeled L1, L2, R, Y, B by prying apart the sides of the box slightly and then pulling it out. That made it much easier to insert the wires. After the wires were in place I bent the wires back down and reinserted the plastic piece with the screws. The wires were fairly heavy gauge so bending them was a bit difficult. It worked with no problems so far. The box I received is different than the one in the product photo but it's an exact match for the one I replaced. View my uploaded photo to see what i recieved.

Appears to be a duplicate of the more costly qd well controls. The parts and construction are so similar that I considered leaving the old control base in place and just use the new detachable part with that contains the active components, which would made the fix a 1 minute job.
