I ordered this set for my chemistry class in my homeschool coop and it was missing 3 purple pieces with 5 holes to make a trigonal bipyramidal model. I contacted the seller and asked if they can send me the missing pieces as I need them for my class. Instead of sending me three 5-hole spheres, they sent me another complete set! I’m truly impressed and grateful for their amazing service. As for the modeling kit itself, it seems really well made. The holes are just the right size, not too tight and not too loose. And I choose this kit because it had more of the 5-hole and 6-hole central atoms which are what I needed for my class.

I got these for a simple lesson I had to teach for 6th graders. They were exactly what I needed to build simple molecules for my lesson. It comes with many little pieces so I was able to build enough molecules for the kids to pass back and forth and discuss. The molecules fit together well, nothing fell apart as the kids examined them and they made the lesson hands-on and interesting.

My students use these to build models of molecules and compounds. It provides them with a visual of a concept that otherwise would be rather abstract to them. This is a quality product, and it comes with everything the students need to build their models.

I bought this set over the Old Nobby set because it had so many more pieces, and there were several in this set that were important to me that other sets do not include. 2,3, and 4 hole carbons have been helping me visualize bonds at different angles. Also the set includes 3 “electron cloud slices” that I use to visualize lone pairs. A lot of sets do not include these. This set also includes purple connectors for visualizing double bonds. I love that. (less pieces to assemble). The only downside to the set is the box it comes in. No dividers, but the parts are separated in small bags. I got this box at Michael’s for 5 bucks (on sale), now it’s perfect.

Purchased because one of our children experienced a brain injury in school so we are schooling at home and then when I start schooling, I want to know and do everything. This kit stated there there was a guide included on how to build the molecular models. There is a one card key explaining what the pieces represent with how many are in the kit and on the reverse a couple unlabeled sample builds. There is no "guide" regarding the 3D molecular modeling theory so I'm annoyed trying to use this. There could have been dividers in the plastic box it came in. This is not a quick drill and build under a timed test due to lack of organization of the box/pieces...a bit of constant shuffling. On the plus side, its the largest kit out there and I see no problem with the pieces so far. Older son said it looked less complicated than school kit, but he never understood this process in school lessons so he would prefer to not get involved unless I figure it out; younger son said, he never understood in school either, but these pieces are easier to attach and separate...I agree. Just haven't been able to use it yet. Just spent 3 times on the magnetic kit because a product user submitted a 15 pages of picture and data charts of build-ables and element/compound information to the maker and they published it. Once we understand the magnetic set, we will move back to this kit, because this type is more common in academia. I like it a lot, just haven't figured it out...getting there in home school.... The questions section of the Amazon product pages lists an email to receive electronic instructions...I will try that next.

In the hands of my grandson this gift is golden! He is fascinated and challenged by this science set. He works/plays for hours at a time, building different elements. I am amazed by his deep interest in this activity. It certainly captures his attention! It was not an expensive gift either!

The parts are high quality plastic and the size I expected. Good for demonstrating chemical compounds and bonding. Instructions were really little more than a parts list. I would have appreciated a few pages with further examples and description of how different length bonds might be used. I bought this set to begin talking to my 5yo granddaughter about atoms and molecules. Simple organic chemical reactions can be illustrated, showing how bonds are rearranged, and even talking about why. For example, CH4 + 2 O2 -> CO2 + 2 H2O.
