Good alternative to Chuckit.
I like this launcher. I have more control over ball and better accuracy than with my longer ChuckIit launchers. Light weight, but durable. Compact and perfect for keeping in car for field trips and rest stop exercise, and for smaller back yards. But you can still throw a balm surprisingly with it. Center ball storage ring helps keeps ball with launcher while stowed, but is too tight for thick new tennis balls.

This thrower saved my arm!
This thrower is great. It saved my arm. Been using it for about three years. Have to buy another because I ran over it with my truck. My dog is "hyper" and ball focused so I use the thrower every day. I had been using Chuck-Its, large and small, and my arm became severely strained. Finally after using Throw-N-Go my arm has been totally healed for over two years. Because I broke my Throw-N-Go I've been using my old Chuck-it again and sure enough my arm is getting strained again. It doesn't throw as far as chuck-it, but it is more than adequate.

Lots of Benefits to This One!
I've purchase two of these, one through Amazon but not from this seller. This thrower does not make your forearm sore. For the amount of effort required on the part of the human, the ball goes very far. The first one eventually broke at the neck after many years of use. The neck is very flexible, which allows for good distance without a lot of stress on your forearm, but you do have to be careful to work the ball back into the cup, not just jam it back in. Jamming a new tennis ball into the cup finally broke the neck on my first one. Because the cup is a softer plastic than the Chuck-It, it does hold various sizes well. Some balls made for dogs are not the full size of a regular tennis ball and they just fall out of my longer, more rigid thrower. Because it's soft, it's also safer for children to use around other children. Hitting someone accidentally or on purpose won't result in any sort of injury. The draw back to this, other than flexibility that can break under too much stress, is the length. If you're tall, which I am, bending over to pick up the ball adds far more time to a hike or walk than I realized until I broke my first one and had to use a long one for a while. If you're just going out to throw the ball and not trying to cover a lot of ground at the same time, that's not an issue, but I usually throw the ball for my dog while hiking several miles. The size is also a plus. I attach this to my waist pack with a carabiner so I always have it on my hikes and walks. It doesn't hang down far enough to hit my legs, which gets annoying with the longer throwers. I forget it's there, but it's always available. Overall, I like this enough to buy another one when the first one broke, and to give to a friend who complained that her forearm got too sore with the Chuck-It.

More Ergonomic than Other Chuckers
Other chuckers strain my arm, this one doesn't. It has lasted many months of major daily use. The cap at the bottom with wrist strap fell off so super glue it or duct tape it. I lost mine so I cover the end with rock tape for a nice no slip grip. I love that it collapses down to fit in my back pack side pocket.

Don't buy this product
I'm a dog breeder and I play fetch with a bunch of dogs twice daily. I bought this thrower and it is the worst product ever. It is very difficult to pick up a ball unless you push down really hard, otherwise it just falls out of the holding circle. Problem is, when you push down really hard, the ball gets stuck in the thrower and when you throw with it, the ball goes straight down and hits the ground right in front of your feet. My other throwers can be too tight when they are new, but their design allows for adjusting or loosening the holders grip by stretching or otherwise manipulating the holding mechanism. This design, however, is a complete closed circle - what you see is what you get. You can't stretch or otherwise modify the grip the thrower has on the ball. It's a bad design. Lastly, my bags of cheap tennis balls last for a couple of months before I replace them. Lastly, the felt cover on the ball that comes with the thrower didn't last one fetching session. I threw it away that same day. Save your money, look elsewhere.

Fix the ball holder.
Great idea. More portable with the telescoping arm. Ball hold is poorly designed. Stick with the type that works. In this poor design, of the ball is all the way in, it wonโt come out or will go straight to the ground on a hard throw. You have to find the sweet spot cuz if itโs not in enough, it just goes in a short soft high arc.

this is the best tennis ball thrower ever
Hands down, this is the best tennis ball thrower ever. We lost ours somewhere out in the yard and bought several other ball launchers that were simply sub-standard and some are made purposely to not fit regular tennis balls in them. Finally found this kind again on Amazon and ordered three of them, just in case we lose another one. Our dogs go berzerk when we pull it out. With little arm effort, the ball goes really far -- giving the dogs more exercise per throw. LOVE that we don't have to touch the slobbery tennis balls!

Better than the other brand
These are much better than the other brand. The plastic on these is a bit more flexible than the other brand and require less effort to "throw" the ball. I have both and I am not able to get the ball to release properly with the other brand so I end up throwing it into the ground about 4 ft in front of me. With the Hyper Pet I can easily launch the ball 50 yards or so. We have left this outside winter through summer in MN, often tossing it on the ground when we're done with it and it held up for 3 years before the part that the ball fits into cracked. Even with the crack it is still functional but I ordered 2 more just to be sure we always had one available.

Great ball launcher, especially with 2 dogs
I have 2 dogs and need to take 2 balls out on walks so this is perfect; it avoids having to hold either soggy ball on the walk back! It throws well and is easy really to pick up the balls. I would recommend and would buy again if anything happened to this one (used it every day, twice a day, for 2 months and it still as it was when I bought it)

Long life Thrower
Great ball thrower, can't understand one reviewer who managed to break theirs, our has outlived all the cheaper longer throwers by years

Ripoff!
An expensive waste of money. Ridiculous sized boxed turned up with this little thing inside. The only thing that sort of works is the extra ball holder as the balls have to be squished in to fit and so do not come out easily. However, the ball holder part is so loose balls just fall out (and yes that includes the one that came with it!. The packaging looks like the holder is metal but that is just reflection on the plastic packaging! It is rubbish. I want a refund!
