It’s on the cool side. Color temperature is 6000k.

my manual shows the 168 as a 5w bulb. Here it shows 168. watt. Can't be 168 watts, could it?

The bulb is very bright, but probably less than 1 watt. The real advantage is that they run very cool.

Are these dimable? My car dome light dims to lower intensity when car turned off and then switches to full intensity when the door opens.

Yes they dim. I just installed them in my 2010 RAV4 map lights and they dim after you close the door.
