RXBAR Protein Bars, Protein Snack, Snack Bars, Variety Pack (12 Bars)

I've eaten a lot of RX bars in my life and have enjoyed all the flavors I've tried. I got these for my husband because he needs either a quick snack or a breakfast bar each day. These are perfect for an on-the-go lifestyle as they are easy to take with you wherever you are headed. Throw them in your briefcase, gym bag or purse and even pocket. I like that these have simple ingredients that are all pretty healthy and they're pretty filling for the size, but you can read what the ingredients are so I'm mostly going to focus on the taste and texture. I was expecting something pretty strange tasting from the reviews I read and how much of it is egg white, but it actually tastes pretty good to me. The consistency reminds me of the original powerbars - kind of firm but sticky, almost a bit tacky. One concern I would have is that I've had fillings come out in the past when eating tacky candy like taffy, and the consistency is almost like that. I like the consistency better after 5 seconds or so in the microwave, or if you're in a warm environment they should be fine. I enjoy all of the flavors and I'm pretty impressed considering how healthy the ingredients seem to be.

I discovered these bars through a giveaway where I received several of them! I liked them enough to look for them here on Amazon and get a variety pack. Pros: There are delicious flavors, plus no junk added in. My favorite I've tried so far is Maple Sea Salt. Least favorite is Chocolate Mint (although if you LOVE Chocolate Mint flavored things, you will probably really like it. The mint was too strong for my taste). They are easy to throw in my bag and take with me to work or on a workout. Cons: Just be aware that these things are CHEWY. They remind me of the texture of a Power Bar. It's not necessarily bad, but it takes some work to bite and chew (some flavors seem to be harder than others). I also felt like I kept getting pieces of the bar stuck in my teeth while I was eating...not great when I was eating at work and trying to talk to a coworker. :) Overall, though, I really like these as a quick and easy protein source that is not filled with added sugar and chemicals. I will continue to buy!

On the road for 6 weeks and needed a convenient source of high protein with no processed sugar. All flavors were moist and tasty. Nuts added crunch that I miss in other bars. I had not tried these before, so the variety pack was great. Chocolate Sea Salt was especially good. Will order again.

I loved all the flavors that came in this pack. A bar for lunch or breakfast while on the go is perfect. I can go for 3-4 hours without feeling even a little hungry. The only downside is the texture. These are very chewy and stick on your teeth. Make sure you have something to drink while eating these. Is not idea for a meeting where you might have to speak face to face with others while eating. Otherwise a great buy and I will reorder.

I love most of the RX bars, there are just a couple of flavors I don’t care for. I got this variety pack to try a specific flavor that was pictured and it ended up not coming with those, but instead came with the ones I don’t like. Also they weren’t in a box at all but wrapped in plastic and rubber banded together. They were all deformed where the rubber band was wrapped and the wrapper was stuck to the bars. I will just buy the flavors I know I like instead of buying the variety pack that comes with random flavors rather than the ones pictured.

For some reason, the egg white label on these bars made me second guess purchasing them. I was looking for some protein bars, and I bought several different ones to sample. I have to say, I'm glad I pulled the trigger. They taste great! Of the protein bars I have tried recently, this is one of two that I will continue to buy. I have tried to find a few that meet my criteria, but many arent appetizing for one reason or another. These bars are a bit on the dense side, but not rock hard. The ingredients are fairly clean, and it is certainly filling. It also has a good micronutrient profile. I would recommend this bar to someone looking for a healthy snack-on-the-go or pre/post-workout supplement.

My husband is trying to eat healthier and been doing a lot of research on snack bars. These have very few ingredients and you can pronounce all of them - always a plus. The bars are definitely more expensive than your average snack bar, but they are SO filling. It is not a meal substitute but it is a really nutritious, filling and overall pretty healthy snack. Not low on sugar (it contains dates) but at least it has no added sugars, which is always a plus and pretty hard to find these days. Favorite flavors are the coconut one and the mint chocolate one, but we didn't encounter a single flavor we disliked.
