Great product! Great customer support!
This tool is top notch and heavy. The case was cracked in several places when I received it (rough handling in shipping over 2500 miles to Hawaii) and I contacted Temco. They immediately shipped a replacement case. I was reluctant to start using in case I needed to return the whole package. Once I was notified that a replacement case would be sent, I started using the tool. Several reviews mentioned that they needed to use a #4 die set for 1/8" ss wire. I used the #6 die just fine but made sure my wire was, in fact 3.2mm (1/8") but more importantly, made sure the pieces being crimped were not undersized. Many of the "cheaper" ss sleeves and end fittings have thinner walls and thus need to be crimped by the #4 die set. They also included an extra set of seals, which in our climate, was very much appreciated as seals don't last long when not in use. So buy this! You won't be disappointed.

Works well, a couple of things to know.
After reading reviews of lower priced crimpers I went with this for cable rail project. One crimp will do if you take your time to get the feel of it. Very heavy solid unit. As stated in earlier review, dies are not precise in unit, and if you don't take the time to keep an eye on alignment of dies you will get kinked crimps. Also, I used 1/8" cable and their directions clearly recommend #6 or 8 die for that size. They were too big, crimp would not hold cable under light load. I called and got right through to customer service, who recommended going to last available small size a number 4. It did crimp tightly and hold the cable under load, but left a trace of flash on the edges that leaves a wicked metal sliver, also I also think the flash prevents the dies from closing as tightly as it could. This tool was labeled as a stainless cable rail crimper. If they are selling for that purpose, I think they should consider a # 5 dies that addresses the variance of 1/8" cables, as that is the most popular size used for cable rail systems. With that said this is a great product for cable rail systems

Mechanically sound and solid construction
Couple thoughts: 1) Description says paint won't chip, but did the first use on the die. 2) No way to validate claim of rockwell hardness for the dies and only more use than I've given it will tell. 3) Alignment of fitting with wire in the die without any spring loaded tension allows for some mis-alignment within the die guides, it's not precision machinery. 4) Manual requires annual oil change, but after hours on the internet looking for Shell Tellus T15 or equivalent, I can only find it in 5 gal buckets. So there's no simple oil replacement per spec. Suspect most will have to ignore recommended oil changes. Would be nice if TEMCO offered a quart size at less than $15 for it's customers.

Lots of power.
I had a few small 2500 lbs winches and a 9000 lbs winch I used a vice to crimp the 4 ga wire in the Anderson quick connectors. The connectors came loose. I bought this tool and recrimped the connectors and it worked easier and better then the vice. This tool is very easy to use and powerful.

WORKED AS INTENDED, NO ISSUES
SO FAR I HAVE COMPLETED 74 CRIMPS TO INSTALL CABLE RAILING ON MY PORCH AND HAVE HAD NO ISSUES WITH THIS TOOL. I DID HAVE TO USE A SMALLER DIE THAN IT RECOMENDED TO GET A PROPER CRIMP, OTHER THAN THAT IT WORKED FLAWLESSY.

Don’t hesitate to buy this...I tried others and they don’t work
Don’t buy any other kind. I have installed many cable rails as I am a general contractor. This is a heavy duty unit which makes it easier to use. The cheaper versions don’t crimp as well so when you tighten the cable it slips out of the connector. The cheaper versions take more effort as the lever is shorter which requires more work for the user. This set crimps so well that only one crimp is needed. Never had a connection slip using this set no matter how much I tightened the cable. The company claims to back this product well but I haven’t needed to try as this thing is so well built.

Worth The Money
I spent a couple of evenings reading reviews and trying to decide on the tool to buy to crimp the fittings for our deck railing system. Not sure how this one popped up on my radar but it is jam up for this type of installation. The cable shown is 1/8" LuckIn cable with Muzata Swage Stud ends and Muzata Swage Threaded studs. This tool comes with extra seals and has a great variety of dies that could be used for crimping battery cables. The tool is easy to use. One note on the Muzata Swage Threaded Studs. The manual says to use either a #6 or #8 for 1/8" cable depending on the wall size of the swage. The #6 was too large and I ended up using a #4. This is not a fault the fault of the tool. The wall thickness on the threaded studs is small.

If you appreciate quality tools, you will LOVE this crimper
From the minute I picked this out of the box with two hands, I knew this crimper was a BEAST. I had to crimp 120 1/8 stainless steel ends for a cable deck so I needed something reliable. WOW, is this the right tool. From the first crimp you can feel this is a tank. Solid, smooth, easy to use, built like things used to be when quality mattered. If I could give this 6 stars I would. I've already recommended this to two neighbors building decks. I will pass on the advice I got from another reviewer on a poor tool - "Do not waste your money on garbage." Buy quality and smile knowing you got value for your dollar. BRAVO TEMco!!

Good quality tool
Just be careful of the die size in your kit. It might be too big to fit
