Amazon Renewed has set a new Bar - A Journey of Surprise and Satisfaction
MY EXPERIENCE I was speechless for the most part when I opened up my box with the smiley face on it. This device must have fell of the back of the truck of new devices being sent to the store. It is absolutely flawless, not a scratch, ding, or even fingerprint. I can tell it has never been used, as both batteries are 98/99% capacity. I wonder if all renewed devices are like this...well this one was, so my experience was amazing. TECH SPECS GPU: Nvidia Quadro RTX 3000 with Max-Q Design Memory: 32GB SSD: 512GB Toshiba KBG40ZNS512G (NVMe, M2.2230, PCIe 3.0, Read 2,200mb, Write 1,400mb) CPU: Intel i7-1065G7 (4 cores, 8 Threads, Max Turbo 3.90 GHz, Base Freq 1.30 GHz) Screen Size: 15" Display Res: 3240x2160 Weight: Almost 5lbs (4.20lbs) with the keyboard base, 3rd of that (1.80lbs) for the tablet only OS: Windows Pro 11 (fully licensed) Not the fastest SSD on the market, but it's blazing for what I need, and what the book can do. RECOMMENDATIONS If you're planning to run multiple monitors, or other peripherals, get the official Microsoft Docking station, will make your life way easier (and charge your battery 40% faster). CONS Yes, there is one believe it or not: No Thunderbolt port...BUT, the Microsoft Docking Station makes up for this. IMPORTANT CAVEAT !!! Your GPU will not show up until your battery life is at least 10% charged. I thought I had a regular Intel GPU at first, and fell out initially... CONCLUSION Happy camper, thanks Amazon.

Device in overall great shape, near mint, bad W10 product key however
Shipped with the laptop well-protected in layers of bubble wrap and the charging cable was in very good shape. No dents or nicks anywhere, but a small barely visible scuff on one key and extremely minor markings where the screen bezel touches the bottom when the laptop is closed, I really had to look for it to see it. The screen is immaculate, no sign of warping or distortion (the stock slight concave nature of the screen aside, as it should be) and no scratches whatsoever. All ports are clean (no debris or markings around them). Battery capacity appears to be stock or very near stock. All fans sounds even and operational. The screen attachment mechanism is in perfect shape (I have been using the 13" version for quite awhile, this one is just a sturdy if not even better). One problem though: Came with W10 Pro installed, but the product key used was for W10 Home. Luckily I had an extra Pro key, but be aware this might be a possibility.

Absolutely Love it
Amazing deal, it works GREAT and the ONLY cosmetic flaw is a tiny ding on the hinge that was a little sharp so I filed that down and a small dent on the back of the tablet but you have to really be looking for flaws to notice them... the batteries lives are spectacular as is the screen resolution and operating system...

Excellent Shape and Like new!
I was hesitant about buying a refurbished Surface after having a bad experience from another company. However this one was virtually like new! No scratches on the exterior and screen was bright and in perfect shape. Battery life seems to be OK and it passed a battery test showing the batteries were pretty much still at full capacity. I would highly recommend this unit and this seller. Very please with this high quality Surface Book.

Discontinued and Malfunctions.
I bought this machine because it looked like it was just Microsoft Surface Pro but the battery did not work right out the box. The specs were very impressive but I read other people were having a lot of issues with these refurbished models. I contacted the seller and he refunded my money very quick. Microsoft no longer manufactures these units and another reviewer stated Microsoft doesn't really support them anymore either.

Paid for 'Excellent' condition but received as 'Average to Good'
Computer works just fine, screen is in good shape. Only issue I have is it was listed as 'Excellent' condition yet the outer case which has the screen has dents in it. Not sure if this will affect it in the future but it should have been sold as 'Average' or 'Good' condition and priced accordingly

I love it, but there's room for improvement.
It's an absolute powerhouse when I use it as a laptop or tablet. The integrated docking driver "surface system aggregator" doesn't like to update drivers, and the system is sluggish when docked due to processing everything through the brute force of the 32g ram.
