Will they work for solid core vinyl plank flooring?

How do I use them if my wall isn’t exactly straight?

Click together 2 or 3 rows a little ways out from your wall then make sure it is straight and square to your room. Then you take a pice of your flooring ( the clicked together rows need to be one width away form the wall at its farthest point) and run it along the wall with a pencil on the first row and mark the whole length, this is called scribing. Then undo that row and use a jigsaw or table saw and cut it on that line. Put that row back together and click it into the othe ones. Then you should be able to scoot it towards the wall and use your spacers

How many of these do you need for a 23'x16' room using 10" wide planks?

I used 2 packs all my rooms were about 180 SQFT. I used the spacers at starting side along the boards and at the wall where I started the planks. As said 2 packs were plenty. I put all all my hardwood floor packs on the floor once I was about 4 rows in that prevents shifting. U can then start using some of the spacers again once done with a row.
