These are great quality I have not noticed anything that would lead me to believe it would have some issue like that. I have Air Conditioning and that keeps the humidity down so that would be impossible, but even in a humid environment I think these would do well. When I first started working from home, I started resting coffee cups all over my nice wooden desk. That left rings all over it. That was very annoying, so instead of buying coasters like a normal person, I decided to look for a mat that would cover most of my desk. I found this. I got it in navy/yellow and it looks fantastic. I've had it for probably 18 months now and it looks as good as it did the day I got it. Very easy to keep clean (you wipe it) and very easy not to destroy (don't destroy it). It has a nice, non-slip texture and as a bonus, it works as a mouse mat - so you're able to throw the one you've currently got away.
